Rouge Luna

Chapter Six

Rosetta stood in front of a group, "thank you for meeting on such short notice. I've asked for your audience, for your help as our Luna has been targeted. She is human and the council of our pack, has done nothing to help her. Most of them have actually sided with the woman, who has put countless hits out for our Luna. Audriana has survived the transformation, so she is more then capable to hold the Luna position. I ask that you tear these old crotchety bitches, a new hole for discriminating against our Luna. I also ask that you send scouts out, to find Simone and everyone she associates with."

Once Rosetta was finished, the council began to murmur amongst themselves. "You are not the alpha Rosetta, so why are you asking for our help? Shouldn't your son Draven be here asking!" Asked a woman with a sour look on her face, keeping her attitude in check. Rosetta looked over to the woman, "yes I understand it should be my son asking this. Unfortunately due to these events, he's been too focused on handling this on his own."

Another woman spoke up this time, "where is your Luna now? Is she safe?" Sighing Rosetta shook her head about to answer, but a male interrupted her. "She's fine, I've currently been unintentionally keeping an eye out for her." All heads turned to him, for his part he just shrugged and turned back to Rosetta. "As the tribunal head, your requests will be granted." Smiling Rosetta thanked everyone and left, "do you think this wise Gerome?"

Asked the sour faced woman, "are you asking me this just because the Luna is human? Should we not keep things in order? Or have you forgotten, that my mate is human and I chose for her not to go through the transition."

Gerome boomed causing the other members to bow their heads in shame. "It's our duty to keep the peace as the last resort, and that's what I plan on doing. Meeting adjourned," he said leaving the room to find Rosetta. Catching up to her, Gerome smiled. "When I first met Audriana I didn't realize, she was mated to a wolf. Then after a few months of her working for me, I smelled the wolf in her. Now everything makes sense, from the little she told me. I promise both her and Valin, will return safely." Hugging him tightly Rosetta was relieved, that they would be protected.

"Can I just say that grandson of yours, is so spunky. Mira says I can't keep up because I'm old, but I just like to think it's because he has too much energy." Gerome laughed which got her to laugh as well, "if your old then what the hell am I?" Asked Rosetta adjusting her purse, "thank you very much for taking care of them. This has been really hard on everyone, especially Audriana she's just doing what she thinks is right." Placing a comforting hand on her shoulder, Gerome smiled widely.

"Say Mira and I are having Audriana and Valin, over for dinner on Sunday. Why don't you come and bring that son of yours, I'd like to speak with him." Looking stunned Rosetta nodded, and left quickly to go home and tell Draven. Watching her leave Gerome, quickly took out his phone and called his wife.

"So you're going to kill me. No, I didn't spend too much money again. We'll be having a small dinner party, on Sunday. Yes dear I know that's two days from now, it's only going to be Audriana and Valin. As well as Audriana's mate and mother in law, fine I'll pick up the things you'll need. Yes honey I'll call the cleaning company, I love you. I'll see you soon."

That Sunday came and Audriana had just arrived, at the Martyn's when Valin dashed off to find Gerome. Entering the kitchen she was about to ask Mira if she needed any help, when the doorbell rang. She watched as Mira excused herself, seeing that there were six table settings. She began to grab plates and cutlery, as she was placing them down the air shifted. To one she was all to familiar with, trying to ignore his presence Audriana continued to set the table. Wondering what the he was doing there, she didn't even realize Gerome knew Draven.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Mira walked in, with Rosetta and Draven who sat while she went to get Gerome and Valin. Rosetta hugged Audriana, before sitting down. Saying a quick hello Draven sat down, narrowing her eyes Audriana replied with a curt hello and sat down. The three people sat in an awkward silence, both Draven and Audriana tried to avoid eye contact. The awkwardness was broken once Valin ran into the room, "Nana, Daddy." He yelled running over to them, and giving them both hugs then sat down beside Audriana.
