When I get back to SU I ended up completely missing lunch and I didn’t see Cade the rest of the day. So I guess I don’t have any other classes with him.
On my way home I end up just wandering around the city, not straying too far from my apartment, but still being able to see some of the city. Which was really cool, big buildings everywhere. The architecture was impressive to be honest.
On my way home I stop a liquor store and grab a bottle of liquor. Tonight has been stressful so why not take the edge off a little bit.
I get home and toss my bag on the floor and kick my shoes off. Then I head to the kitchen and put the liquor in the fridge.
Then I head for the shower. I take a scalding hot shower, washing off the days stress. Then I put on a pair of pj shorts. After that I put my phone on the charger and then get out my cd collection and cd player to put some music on while I unpack a couple more boxes.
When I finish unpacking a few more boxes I head to the fridge to retrieve the liquor, but when I check in the fridge I notice it isn’t there, so I look around for it. I find it on the counter, but I don’t remember putting it there. “What the heck..” I mumble under my breath.
I grab it not really caring that it was there and chug some. “Ah yes. That hits the spot.” I then toss my body onto the blow up mattress and start scrolling through my phone, nodding my head to the music playing. I freaking love High for this by The weeknd. “Yeah baby you’re gonna wanna be high for thisss.” I sing rather loudly.
I continue to sing along until I hear a shuffling type noise in the kitchen. I whip my head in the direction of the kitchen. For a second I thought I saw a black figure, but when I blink my eyes again there is nothing there. “Hello? Anyone there?” God, I am just asking for a serial killer to get me right now. So cliche ugh. I stand up and look around on the floor around the counter then I look around the whole kitchen, nothing. I just stand there thinking what the could have, but then I hear the same noise in the living room. “Hello, if anyone is in there.. I’m gonna call the cops!” I look around subconsciously thinking that would help but it obviously doesn’t. So I grab a knife from the drawer and slowly walk back to the living room.
When I get in the living room I see no one. So I slowly walk to the blow up mattress and grab my phone. Then I turn around to put the knife back in the kitchen, but I see someone standing in the doorway. I scream and run to the door, not even thinking properly. The door won’t budge. I start to bang on it, but then I hear heavy footsteps nearing me so I dart down the hallway to my room and slam the door then pile boxes up in front of it.
“I”M CALLING THE COPS!” I scream viciously loud so the intruder can hear. Then I back away into the closet and dial 911. “911 Operator, What your emergency?” “There’s someone in my house! I don’t know how he got in but he’s here and I’m hiding in the closet in my room!” “Alright miss what is your address?” “9103 Roselyn Street, It’s an apartment. Please hurry!” “Miss, I am dispatching police to your address now. Please stay on the line. Do not hang up.”
“Okay, I’m so scared.. I don’t hear him anymore though.” I hold the phone away from my ear so I can listen for something anything, but I don’t hear a thing. “I think he left.” I say to the operator. “Do not leave where you are right now. Wait for the police to get there.” “Okay, I’ll wait.”
Ten minutes later someone pounds on my bedroom door and says “It’s the police, you are all safe to come out now.” I sigh in relief and get up to move the boxes away from the door then pull the door open. I see two police officers standing in front of the door. “Miss there is no one here. Are you sure you saw someone?” “Yes! He was right in my kitchen and I heard his footsteps!” I squeal, angered that they don’t believe that someone was here. “Well, No one is here now so we are going to leave now, but if there are any other problems you call right away.” “Uhh… Okay.” I walk them out the door. “Good bye officers have a good night.” With that I shut the door and look around still not feeling safe.
