I wake to the noise of beeping, a steady beeping. Slowly I peel my eyes open and all I see is a blur of bright white light. Then all the blur goes away and I realize I'm in a hospital. "How the... What.." Then the memories from the night before come back to me. The black figure. His demonic voice. He must've attacked me when I ran away.

My breathing becomes erratic the longer I think about it, the beeping start going faster. Then a nurse runs in. "Miss, are you okay? Do you know where you are?"

"The hospital. I'm in the hospital." She smiles at me but with worried eyes. "Do you know what happened last night?" I just shake my head because I want to know how I got here. "How did I get here?"

"A man found you laying on the sidewalk. You were unconscious." I look at her confused "A man?" "Yes, he called 911 and told us where to find you, he said he found you like that."

"Then I was brought here?" I am so confused for some reason.. Maybe my minds just a little fuzzy from passing out. "Yes, What's your name Hun?" She doesn't know my name yet? "Blair.. Blair Mavericks. How long have I been here?"

"You were unconscious for a whole day."

"A whole day?! Oh my god, I'm missing classes! Shit!" I hurry up and try to scramble out of bed but the nurse grabs my arm, that's when I notice I am just wearing a gown. "Where are my clothes?!"

"Ma'ma you need to lay back down and rest your body." What? No. "I just slept for a whole day, why would I rest more? I need to get to my classes."

"Miss, You can't leave yet. You need rest."

"No, You cannot keep me here. I want to be discharged right now, and I want my stuff." I said gesturing to my gown where I should be wearing my clothes.

Her eyes widened then she slowly nodded. "Your things are in this cabinet." She walks over to a cabinet and opens it. "When you're finished getting dressed just come to the front desk and we'll have your discharge papers ready for you to sign." She looks at me with a hardened facial expression then exits the room.

A few minutes later I walk up to the front desk ready to get the hell out of here. I look at the nurse that said she would have my discharge papers ready and she smiles, fakely. “Just sign here and you can leave.” I sign on the dotted line, then take my half of the paper and I walk out of there. Not really thinking how I’m gonna get home.

I pull out my phone, its nearly dead but I have enough battery left to make a call or two. So I dial the only person I can think of, Cade.
