2 months.2 months I have been here..and pregnant.
Melinda is no where to be found,neither are any of my friends.My due-date is nearing and I have no one to turn to...
What will happen if I tried to run away like Reggie did? I would be shot dead,thats what would happen...trying is pointless.
The baby inside of me kicks day and night even as I lie awake crying listening to the sound of the Plain looking girl who's name I have yet to learn's snores.
"Your growing larger,Gigi." remarks a Nurse.I cringe and look away from her out the window...last time I was in a place like this I felt the same:Scared,Vunerable,and Dependent on those around me..
And I hated it,so I went back to being mute."Looks like its gonna be a girl...I gurantee with your genetics high society wives will be clawing for this one.." I remain silent..They are gonna take my baby.
The nurse sighs and continues to check and write down my blood pressure."Its such a shame..did you hear about Nurse Melinda and her murder a few weeks ago?"
My face pales.No..Melinda..No.
The nurse raises an eyebrow at me."Did you know her?" I bite my lip but nod and rub my stomach hoping to get a kick of comfort which I do.
I suddenly hear the Plain girl gasp in pain and clutch her stomach."My child is coming!" she cries.The nurse drops her clipboard and pen and wheels her bed out of the room..
