Prologue

Y/n's POV

I put my suitcases down and sighed. I looked up at the building in front of me. I take my phone out to check something.

"I think this is where my dorm should be!" I yell at my brother, Lotor, who just got out of the car.

Lotor is my half older brother. We have the same dad but different moms. Our dad is Zarkon, the CEO of Daibazaal INC. What he does? I don't know and honestly, I don't care. In my personal experience, he's a bad father and Lotor can agree. He treats me and Lotor like shit. He doesn't physically abuse us, more like emotionally and mentally.

He puts up a nice front, tricking people into thinking he is a kind person, but I obviously know the truth.

Whatever he does from his job, he gains a lot of money from it. So, you could say I come from a rich home. But I'm not like those spoiled rich brats. I knew better.

My dad's first wife was Honerva, Lotor's mom. My dad ended up cheating on her and when she found out, she left. She still kept in touch with Lotor and I'm glad that he has his mom. He then had a second wife, m/n (mother's name), my mom. She unfortunately, passed away when I was 5. But my memories of her are still clear. She was the most kindest woman ever, and was very beautiful. I wish she was still here.

I only considered Lotor as my family. He was the only one that actually cared for me and was ever nice to me. Maybe it's the fact we both dealt with dad and we know what he's capable of, but nonetheless, I'm grateful to have him.

He even accepted me when I came out! Yes, I'm bisexual. And as you know, dad wouldn't have accepted that. So he doesn't know for now.

Once Lotor graduated, he moved to a new town. He felt guilty for leaving me with dad but I reassured him that it was fine. I've dealt with dad a little longer till I also graduated.

I wanted to pursue as an artist! Once Lotor learned of this he recommended a college in his town that would be perfect for me to go to! So that's how I ended up here! I FINALLY escaped from my father's wrath!

"Are you sure this is it?" Lotor asked walking up next to me, staring at the building

"Yes! It's on the 3rd story, number 308" I exclaimed. I put my phone away in my pocket and I grabbed one of my bags and Lotor grabbed the other one and we proceeded to walk up the stairs.

"You know, you could've stayed at my place if you wanted to. There's enough room for you. At least that way you wouldn't have to be so anxious around new people" he suggested. I sighed.

"I appreciate the offer, but I can handle myself. I got to get out of my shell at some point. Besides, I don't want to cock block you and Allura." I said with a little smirk on my face. I don't have to turn around to see his face to know that he's blushing. Yeah, he's dating this girl named Allura. I've met her once I arrived at town. We hit it off immediately. I like her. Lotor has chosen well.

We finally arrived at the dorm. We set the suitcases down and took a breather.

"Before I go, I got to tell you something. You're my little sister and I love you. If anyone is bullying you and/or hurting you, let me know and I will beat the shit out of them" he said as he hit his hand with his fist. I giggled.

"Of course! I love you too big brother!" I say as we both hugged. After a few seconds, we detached ourselves.

"Now go! You have be at work in 20 minutes! Don't be late!" I exclaimed as I giggled and punched his arm lightly

"Of course! I'll call you later!" he said as he rushed back down. I watched as his car left. I look back at the door and took a deep breath. I raise my hand in a fist, ready to knock on the door.

Not knowing, that this is gonna change my life, forever.
