Chapter 1: The new kid

Y/n's POV

'You can do this Y/n. Just knock on the door, and greet yourself. It's not a big deal'

After contemplating, I finally knock on the door and my heart starts to race

Damn anxiety! It's the worst feeling ever!

The door slightly open and I held my breath. Then the whole door opened and revealed a woman. She had short brown hair, brown eyes, and wears glasses. She also wore a green dress and wore a white lab coat over it. She then began to speak.

"Um, do you need something? I'm kinda busy at the moment" she said as she raised her elbow and leaned it on the door frame.

I opened my mouth, and spoke, "Hi I'm Y/n L/n and I believe I'm your new roommate"

'See?! That wasn't hard was it?'

"Oh yeah! Your the new kid!" she then sticks her hand out for me to shake

"The name's Katie Holt, but you can call me Pidge!" she said. I then shook her hand

"Come on in! I'll help you get settled in!" she says as she immediately picked up one of my suitcases and brought it in. It took me 2 seconds to process because she did that so fast, and then I picked up my remaining suitcase. Once in I then closed the door behind me.

I follow Pidge inside to I assume my new room? She set my things down

"Alright! I hope you can settle in by yourself! As I stated before, I am kind of busy at the moment but I promise tomorrow I'll give you a tour of the school tomorrow ok? See ya later!" she said as she walks out before I could say a word and went to her room.

I shrugged and closed the door. Wow! This room is bigger than I thought it would be!

Pidge seemed nice! That's a good start. Hopefully I made a new friend?

Anyways, I start opening one of my suitcases and started unpacking. Hopefully there are more nice people like her.

I can't wait for tomorrow!

Pidge's POV

Once I got into my room I slammed my door shut and leaned on it.

'Holy fuck she's hot! My new roommate is hot!'

My face feels hot. Calm down Pidge. You just met her. Also, right now is not the time to think such things! I need to back into studying so I can be with dad and Matt!

~Timeskip to the next morning cause I'm lazy~

Y/n's POV

I felt a hand shake my shoulder. My eyes fluttered open.

"Come on sleepy head! We're gonna be late!"

Pidge. That's right I moved in.

She immediately ran out of my room to go gather her things. I instantly sat up.

'Shit! I forgot to set up my alarm clock didn't I?! Fuck now she's gonna think you're irresponsible! Gee you're such an idiot!'

I quickly got out of my bedsheets and ran to my closet, rummaging though it and throw on whatever I saw fit. I then grabbed my backpack and when to meet up with Pidge at the door.

"You ready to go?" she asked in a soft tone. I nodded and we quickly head out. We started walking to school. It's only 2 blocks away.

Pidge then began to small talk, "So, Y/n right? What made you want to come to Galaxy Garrison University in the first place?"

"Oh, well, I want to become an artist and so my older brother recommended me this school that can help with that. He says it's good" I replied honestly

"Oh that's awesome! You must have some talent!" I blushed at that comment

"T-thanks"

'WHY DID YOU STUTTER YOU BITCH?!'

"Also, did you say you have an older brother? So do I! What's his name and what does he do?" she asks looking intrigued

"His name is Lotor. He's a model. What about yours?"

"His name is Matt and is an intern at NASA. My dad full time works there too!" she says

"WHAT?! THAT'S AWESOME" I sqeal with my eyes shaped like stars

"Yeah. Look! We're here!" she says as we stopped and I looked up.

There it is. Galaxy Garrison University. All my dreams rely in there. I swallow hard. I'm ready.
