This is set during hiatus. Lilo got together in Jan 2016. Set in mid 2016.
Liam slaps his alarm clock that's resting on his nightstand. 9:00 A.M.. He turns over to see his boyfriend of several months still deep asleep. Liam carefully rises out of bed and slips some pants on. He goes to the kitchen and begins to cook breakfast.
Once breakfast is made, Liam makes a plate of it and takes it upstairs to the bedroom. He lays the plate on the nightstand and sits on the edge of the bed. He lightly brushes a strand of hair out of Louis's face and runs his fingers through Louis's hair.
Liam can't help but think of last night. Their big fight. They've fought before, back in the band, before they were a couple. But it was always small things. This time, it was bad.
"Louis," he says softly, trying to wake the other boy. "Louis, wake up. I made breakfast."
Louis begins to stir awake. He blinks his eyes open. He looks over at the plate. "Eggs and bacon." He looks at Liam and gives him a small smile. "Thanks."
"You're welcome, Lou." Liam stands up and makes his way to the door. "Come downstairs when you're ready."
About ten minutes later, Liam is washing his own breakfast plate in the sink when Louis walks in. Liam wordlessly grabs the plate and washes that one too. Louis stays in the doorway, leaning against the doorframe. Once Liam's done washing the plate, he turns to Louis.
"I'm so sorry about last night, Lou."
Louis sniffs as if he's been crying. "Its okay, Liam."
Liam shakes his head. "No, it's not. We both said some pretty hurtful things to each other."
Louis crosses his arms and looks down at his feet. "It's not your fault. It's mine."
Liam's forehead wrinkles in confusion. "What do you mean, Louis?"
Louis sniffs again. "I'm scared," he whispers as his voice breaks.
"Scared of what?"
"I'm scared that one day you're going to wake up and not love me anymore. I'm scared that you're going to find someone better. Someone that won't be as messy and immature as me. I'm scared that you're going to get tired of me one day. I'm scared that you'll change your mind about me. That maybe you'll realize you never really wanted me at all." Louis takes a deep breath as he tries not to cry. "I'm scared that you'll leave me."
Liam is trying not to cry himself. He reaches out for Louis and pulls him into his arms. Liam strokes the back of Louis head gently as he starts to speak. "Louis, I would never leave you. You don't even know how special you are to me. You are everything to me. My whole world. I'd be so lost without you, Louis. I love you so much. I love everything about you. From your beautiful looks to your sassy attitude to your kind heart. I've always loved you. Even before I knew I did. You've always been special to me. And I would never find anyone better than you because there is no one better for me than you. You're imperfectly perfect for me."
Louis, who has his face resting in the crook of Liam's neck, lets out a small laugh. "That was super cheesy, that last line."
Liam smiles. "Yeah, but it's true. It really is. I don't want or need anybody but you."
Louis raises his head to look Liam in the eyes. "All of that, that's exactly how I feel about you too. You're my everything, and that's why I'm so scared. I don't think I could survive without you. You mean so to me, Lili. I love you more than anything."
Louis leans up and presses a soft kiss to Liam's lips. Liam cups the back of Louis's head to keep him there as he returns the kiss.
"What do you say," Liam begins after he pulls away, "we go watch a film and cuddle on the sofa?"
Louis smiles brightly. "That's sounds lovely."
I think this is my favorite one so far. I just love Lilo so much. They're my second favorite ship after Larry. I'm currently working on a Nouis oneshot and I'll think I'll write a Larry one soon. Let me know what ships you want me to write.
