SANTANA LOPEZ (AGED 5)
New people have moved in the house opposite mine, I'm not happy about it. Where am I meant to play kissing tag now! They put fences outside the house, it looks like a prison, I saw a little girl when they arrived, she looks about my age, she was pretty and had blonde hair, I could tell she wasn't from around here because she was wearing summer clothes in May, she didn't look like a typical girl and that intrigued me even though she stole our play area. Her family is loud, I can hear her parents shouting when I go to bed, they look dumb. Abuela told me I shouldn't judge people by how they look but they look like crazy people.

Today is another boring day at kindergarten, I can't wait to go to big school, no one gets me here, they're all so stuck up and there's this annoying girl who never stops singing, I don't know her name yet, but I've made a sworn enemy of her.
Throughout the day the annoying girl got even more annoying and I kinda lost my temper and attacked her, I didn't even hit her that hard but she started screaming like a baby. Mrs Ray called her parents and abuela. Abuela was so gonna to kill me for this.
The annoying girl's parents arrived first, she had two dads which I thought was a bit weird, abuela came as they were leaving and muttered something in Spanish when she walked past. I don't really speak much Spanish but I know it was bad, I didn't know if she was saying it to me or the annoying family. She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the building not saying anything. She didn't speak until we were nearly home, 'Santana, I am very disappointed in you, this is the third time this month I've had to collect you from beating up that nancy boy child'. I didn't know what she meant because I was fairly sure the annoying girl's name wasn't Nancy but I kept quiet because I knew Abuela was not happy with me.
As we arrived home, I saw the blonde haired girl, she was looking out of the window and she looked sad, I shyly smiled at her and she smiled back, something inside me warmed up and I knew we were meant to be friends, which is dumb because I'm fine without friends.
