Percy Jackson ran towards the Empire State building, the golden fleece tucked under his left arm and Riptide in his right hand. Behind him, Annabeth Chase and Ethan Nakumara followed, fending off any monsters blocking their path.

Percy quickly whistled for his loyal Pegasus, Blackjack. In no time, the jet black horse soared over to the demigods.

Annabeth and Percy quickly climbed on as Ethan looked up at them.

"I'll meet you guys there. Hurry!" Was all the demigod said before Percy patted his steed's neck, causing them to lift off.

Ethan gulped nervously before he continued his path towards Mount Olympus.

"Jay I.." Luke breathed, his heart racing as his hand rested against her weak spot.

"Please, I can't hold him back much longer.." She whimpered, her voice sounding strained as she trembled slightly.

"It's okay.." She continued in a hushed tone.

Luke looked down at his blade and then back at Jay, his heart snapping in two as he was forced to accept what must be done.

Jay's hand slid into his free one, it clammy and cold as her frame trembled. A pained whimper left her as her eyes blinked quickly, her body barely keeping Kronos at bay.

Luke squeezed his eyes shut as he gripped his sword and shakily pressed the blade against the nape of her neck. Jay found herself doing the same, a lone tear rolling down her cheek as she braced herself.

"I love you.." Luke whispered, his voice wavering more than he liked.

"I love you too.."

Luke felt her squeeze his hand as he wrenched his sword towards him, the blade cutting into her skin and causing splotches of blood to hit the marble floor.

Jay gasped as her eyes glowed like burning embers, the light shining from them swallowing the terrace in bright light as wind swirled around them. Luke pulled her close to shield her as Kronos roared, his spirit being released into the air and returning to Tartarus.

The deafening cry slowly faded away as did the wind, the air becoming calm.

Luke lifted his head, his ears ringing as small trickles of blood leaked out of them. His gaze quickly looked down to Jay, who's ears were bleeding as well. Her skin was paler, and her eyes looked sleepy as she looked up at him.

"Just hold on, okay? We..we can still save you.." Luke assured her, his wavering voice exposing his uncertainty.

"Tell my mom... I'm sorry I didn't get to know her.." Jay replied, her voice a quiet rasp.

Luke's eyes began to gloss over, tears sitting on the brim of his eyelids and threatening to spill over.

"You'll tell her yourself. Just hold on, okay?" He replied, desperation bleeding through his tone as he tried to sound calm.

"Make sure..no one ends up like us...forgotten, hurt." She pleaded, her voice sounding even more hoarse and quiet.

Luke found himself nodding at her words, a few stray tears escaping his eyes.

"I promise. I'll make sure the Gods are held accountable, just like we wanted. Just stay.. stay with me.." His voice broke at the last sentence, the threads holding him together slowly fraying.
