Alyssa's POV

Ashton Irwin said that my fast talking was cute! I can't wait to tell Taylor this. She is going to freak! Unfortunately, it's still first hour and there is about one minute left. I pack up my stuff. I put my drawing in a special folder that Ms. Bitch made us find.

Our assignment for this week is to take a picture of something that has no meaning to you, and turn it into something that does. I don't know what I'm going to do yet. It's not due until Friday so I have plenty of time.

The bell rings. As I get up Ashton says to me: "Hey what class do you have next? I have chemistry."

My eyes grow. I have chemistry too! "I have chem. too." "Oh cool!" Says Ashton. "Can I sit by you? You're really great company." "Sure." I reply.

We get out into the hallway. He's right next to me. Like I can feel his heartbeat through his shoulder.

I see Taylor heading into art. She looks at me and screams. She yells "text me okay?" I nod and she heads into the classroom.

"What was that all about?" Ashton asks. "Oh nothing, she probably has to tell me what we're doing I'm gym." I lie. "Alrighty" he says.

I show him the way to chem. It's kind of a long way from art. Just as we walk into the door the bell rings. we quickly head to my table.

"Okay class!" Mr. Groothousen starts to say. But I zoned out. I'm usually always paying attention and answer all the questions, but today my mind wasn't quite on track. I couldn't focus on anything. And when my mind does this, I know I need to draw it out.

I get out my notebook and start to draw whatever my mind is telling me to. I could feel Ashton's eyes on me but I couldn't do anything. Its like I'm in some sort of trance.

When I'm finished with my drawing, I don't know what it is. "Mrs. Popp! Would you care to answer why you haven't been able to pay attention at all today. And why you are doodling in your notebook?"

I look up to see Mr. Groothousen standing in front of my table. "I uh..." I say as I try to find an answer for the question. "Didn't think so." Says Mr. Grooty. "Detention after school. One hour."
