Chapter 3: Keeping Up with Y/N

Its 5:30pm and the boys are sitting at home basically waiting for you to get come back. Everyone's isolated in their rooms except yuta & doyoung. they're both in Yuta's room. "ugh how long is she going to be gone im bored" says doyoung. "she said she wasnt coming back until later tonight, but i wouldnt be surprised if she doesnt come home tonight at all" he says jokingly. Doyoung just looks at him and doesnt find it funny at all. "lighten up shes just hanging out" says Yuta. "but it seems like a date to me. does it not?" doyoung says shooting yuta a look. "and if it is? so what? shes an adult" yuta tells him. "nothing. im just worried about her. But we dont even know who this is or how long shes been hanging out with him. he could be dangerous." says doyoung. "YOU dont know who this guy is." whispers yuta. "what?" doyoung asks him to repeat what he said louder. "nothing. im sure she'll be fine i trust her and you should too. " Yuta says giving him the look he gives when he knows hes right. "fine i'll let it go. but only because you were giving me that look" doyoung says. Yuta keeps constantly looking at his phone annoyed. "Can they calm down" he says. "whats wrong?" asks doyoung. "The boys wont stop blowing up the groupchat" he replies. the boys have another group chat with out you in it that they've had since before you moved in. "they keep talking about y/n and her 'date' its getting annoying" says yuta. "just mute them like i did" doyoung tells him. "good idea" he responds and mutes the chat.
For a while Doyoung and Yuta just play some games but after a while Yuta starts thinking and feeling guilty about hiding what he knows about you and baekhyun from doyoung because hes your closest friend too. Yuta sighs "doyoung" says yuta. doyoung pauses the game and looks at him. "Its okay you're not doing that bad at the game you'll get better" he says. "No, i need to tell you something" says yuta. Doyoung gives yuta his full attention. "okay... what is it?". Yuta starts to speak but then gets interrupted. Haechan walks in the room "did you guys mute the groupchat?!" he asks. "Yes now get out" says yuta. "rude. okay" he leaves and shuts the door behind him. "As i was saying, Y/N actually did go on a date and shes planning on asking him if he wants to be in a relationship today. thats why she was dressed all pretty" he says. Doyoung stares at him. the expression in his face doesnt change at all then he asks, "and how long have you known this?" "about two weeks" yuta says. "And why didnt you tell me?" asks doyoung. " i wasnt sure if i was supposed to tell anyone or not. she didnt make it clear on whether or not she wanted it to he a secret so i just decided to keep it to myself anyway. but now that she's actually about to date him i feel bad for not telling you" yuta replies. Doyoung puts his hand in yutas shoulder " its okay i understand, thank you for telling me" he says. "you wanna finish the game?" doyoungs asks him. Yuta smiles " yeah lets finish because im sucking right now" doyoung laughs and unpauses the game. They finish the game and Doyoung goes go his room.
Doyoungs in his own head right now. He has so many thoughts and questions flying around his mind about you and baekhyun. "how long has she been talking to him? why is she dating him? what does she see? what qualities does he have? does she like him more than us? will she spend more time with him then us now? is she going to be closer to him than me?" as doyoung sits on his bed lost in his thoughts while listening to music he goes through his social media and sees a photo you posted on your snapchat story.

The snap hurt him for some reason. he wasnt sure why but this whole situation has his feelings hurt. he thinks that its because he doesnt want you to stop spending time with the all the boys. He swiped up on the snap you posted and says " what about us? " and sends a picture of all the boys. You open it but dont respond because your too preoccupied talking to baekhyun. Its now 9pm and you're still out with baekhyun having an amazing time. Right now you guys are eating dinner. At this moment, baekhyun is the cutest boy in the world. He looks chilly so you tell him to put on his hoodie and he does. he looks so adorable in it. You go to the restroom to gather yourself and prepare to confess to him. You go back to sit down and eat and post one last snap to your story before you ask baekhyun to be your boyfriend.

right after you posted it you took a deep breath and rehearsed your lines in your mind so that you dont mess up or stutter. you cleared your throat and started to speak. " I've been having so much fun tonight. i love being around you, you make me really happy." you say looking down at your plate. "i love being around you too. probably 10x more than you like being around me" he laughs. You feel him looking at you even though you're trying your best not to make eye contact. you finally decide to look up and confess. "I really like you. and i really want to be more than friends" he continues looking at you and smiles. "thats the first time someones ever confess to me" he says. you stay still waiting for another response to your confession. "i really like you too and i one hundred percent agree with you. i would love to be more than friends with you" you smile at him and he puts his hand in top of yours. you both finish eating and head home. while you two were the car on the way home you sang a bunch of songs and he even sang one of his songs to you. When you got to your house he got out the car to open your door then helped you carry your bags to the door. "i had such a great time with you tonight and i'm grateful that you accepted my feelings" you say to him. " "i'm grateful for your confession. i'm always the one doing it so you beat me to it." he laughs. "Goodnight" you tell him. He leans forward and you lean in to him slowly as you two have your first kiss. it seemed like it lasted forever but also somehow didn't last long enough. he pulled back and replied " goodnight. sleep well" he turns to leave and you shout " Call or text me who you make it home! drive safely!" "okay!" he shouts back. you pick up your bags with a huge smile on face and open the door to go inside. you head upstairs and doyoungs in your room waiting for you. "Hey doyoung! why are you in my room?" you ask kind of confused. "how was it" he asked. "it was really fun! i enjoyed myself a lot. and i already ate so i dont need to cook for myself tonight. i brought you and yuta a meal as well" you hold up the takeout bags from his favorite restaurant. "no thanks." he says. "but its your favorite! i got everything you like to get." you reply but he cuts you off. "so you ate with him at MY favorite restaurant? wow" "whats the problem doyoung?" you ask. "did he say yes?" he asks in a serious tone. "say yes?" you respond with another question. "to your confession. is his your boyfriend?" he looks at you with dark eyes. "ohh... yeah he did." you replied. "i thought so. i saw him kiss you by the way" he said. "yeah..." you said and the room fell silent. "where is everyone?" you ask. "they went to eat like 5 minutes ago. i told them i would stay just in case you came back" he said coldly. "oh..okay" doyoung stood up and walked over to you. he started to get really close and you back hit the closet door. he leaned into your ear and whispered "so this is how you do things now?" "what do you mean?" you asked him. "ill show you what i mean"
