Hi everyone! It feels so good to be back! Here's another chapter for you all!

- Ludwig's POV -

The walk back to my room was... awkward to say the least. I kept trying to find the words to say to the princess, but I couldn't find them. I glanced at her, walking with her hands lifting the skirt of her gown, looking around at the walls. It was only then I realised that she was walking awfully close to me.

"Are you alright, princess?" I asked, eyeing her with suspicion. She turned to look at me, her (e/c) fixated on me.

"Um, yeah, sorry. I'll move away if I'm too close." She started to slow down so she was further from me. Without thinking I grabbed her arm, softly, and kept her close. Why did I do that? It's not like I would be sad or anything! But why did I want her close to me? I blushed a little bit but cleared my throat and turned away from her. "Ludwig, are you blushing?" I could almost hear the smile in her voice.

"N-no, of course not!" I said, not entirely convincing.
"Prove it!" She smirked, now stopping walking. Why did she have to tease me? I turned to her, my face still tinted pink.
"See? No blush here!" I tried to act like I didn't know I was. She saw right through it.
"Mhm, sure you're not. But I can see it right here!" She reached for my left cheek, pinching it as if I were a kid, which somehow made me blush heavier. She was so close to me! So close I could feel her breath fanning over my face. It seemed that she suddenly realised how close she was to my face and stepped away, blushing herself.  "Um, yeah let's keep going." She said, flustered. We then kept walking.

Reaching my door, I opened it and stood aside so the princess could walk in first. As you could imagine, it was mainly royal blue. Bedsheets, decorations, accents. My furniture itself was a mahogany deep brown, giving the room a rich feeling. She stepped into the room, looking all around her. Looking at the bed, she walked over to it, sitting down softly on the bed. I closed the door behind me and sat next to her.

"It's nice, huh?" I said, breaking the silence. She smiled, giggling.
"You can definitely tell it's your room."
"Oh yeah? How'd you guess?" I asked sarcastically.
"Lucky guess!" She laughed.
"So, princess, tell me about yourself." I said, wanting to get to know her. I mean, if she's going to be here a while, I might as well get to know her, right?

"Well, as you know my name is (Y/N) Toadstool, I'm eighteen, and I'm Peach's sister. I'm not as well known as she is in terms of royalty and duties such as ruling a kingdom. I just perform and as you already knew (because you took them from me) I have some form of power." She sighed, playing with a strand of her hair. "I don't have many personal friends back there, other than Hunter and the Mario bros."

"Who's Hunter?" I asked, curious. She looked back up at me, a small smile evident on her face, however her smile faltered a bit.
"Did you drug me? When you kidnapped me, I mean."
"Yeah?" I asked, confused now.
"He was the one who warned me that there was someone behind me.." My eyes widened.
"Oh.."
"Yeah.." She said, smiling a bit. "He's my best friend, the only one I could talk to in the castle." I nodded, looking at her expression change suddenly. "What about you?"

I looked at her, a bit surprised. No one really asked that before. "Well, my name is Ludwig Von Koopa, I'm eighteen and one of the best composers in the Dark Kingdom. To be honest, other than Peach and you, I don't have much contact with the outside. Having you as my friend would be lovely." I smiled, shrugging my shoulders. Why did this feel like a cardboard cutout discussion? (Y/N) smiled at me, placing one of her hands on her own.

"I'd love to be your friend. But, uh, Ludwig? What are we gonna do? Aren't I supposed to be in the dungeon?" She asked, concerned and a bit scared by the looks of her face.

- No POV -

Ludwig looked at the princess, realisation hitting him - he knew that was coming at some point. He should speak to Bowser about it, since they did kidnap (Y/N) for her power, and couldn't risk her escaping.

"You're right. Tell you what, you stay in here, make yourself at home, and I'll go and speak to Bowser to see what I can do." He said, getting up and moving to the door. "Stay here, okay?"

"Okay, I'll chill here." You said, glancing around the room and seeing what you could do to pass the time. He nodded, going through the door. He did put a spell on the door, just in case she did try to escape.

You looked around the room, thinking about what you had said to Ludwig. Did you really want to be friends with him? Why didn't you really miss your life in the mushroom kingdom? Are Mario and Luigi on their way to save you? More importantly, was Peach okay?!

You sighed, taking your heels off and lying down on the fluffy cushions. Your emotions were a whirlwind of content but worry, comfort yet fear, and you couldn't figure out why. On top of that your mind was on Ludwig. He seemed like such a different person when he ...cared? Did he really care? Like, really care? He did seem like he did. And his looks! He was handsome to you, very handsome indeed. His statuesque appearance, greyish blue eyes, bright royal blue hair. He had it all to you! But you shouldn't be thinking that way! He was your captor!

Soon enough these thoughts lulled you to a dreamless sleep, your head filled with thoughts of Ludwig. Could it be that you're attracted to your captor?

Hey guys! Sorry if this chapter was a bit boring, I'm not very good at conversational, get-to-know bits! I'm starting to get back into this story much more now! See you all in the next one!
