Levi didn't even go on a carriage, he just clumsily slipped on some shoes then ran as fast as he could, which was quite quick.

Once reaching the village, he noticed immediately that it was more rushed than usual. Levi turned the same corner, in which the medical stand would usually be placed, but it was no longer there. Neither was Eren. Levi then searched around the town, calling Eren's name, until he saw a crowd hovering around and chatting loudly, most women gasping and looking away.

No.

Levi could hear his heartbeat louder than his thoughts as he slowed down his walk, just edging closer. He harshly pushed men and women aside as he tried to squish in.

"Hey, watch it, idiot!"

"You nearly knocked over my child!"

"We're all try'na look, buddy!"

Angry shouts were erupted from the people as Levi mercilessly shoved them away. Finally, he reached the centre, and almost fainted on the spot.

Right there, in front of his very own eyes, lye Eren, his eyes struck wide open in fear, a nearly empty bottle of pills clamped in his sweaty hand.

"No..." Levi was trembling now, and the herd of tempestuous people silenced very suddenly. Levi fell to his knees, and slowly put his ear up to Eren's chest.

No heartbeat.

He just lye there on Eren's chest, not even knowing what to do next. Tears silently made their way up his eyes, and his shoulders shook as he began to cry.

Eren was dead. And it was all Levi's fault.
