"oh my God! sammy you're so clumsy i swear!" alex says, bursting into a fit of laughter as she watched him trip over air.

"well, what can i say? its my specialty." sam remarks, as he gathered up the comic books that he knocked over.

alexandra was about to say something until she was interrupted by a mans voice.

"sam!"

"mike?! what're doing here?"

"well, i came to see if you guys needed any help unpacking, but max already beat me to it." michael explained, pulling sam in for a short hug.

"the other guys didn't come did they?" sam questioned.

"what guys?" alex asked, looking at the both of them.

sam had completely forgotten that alex was still there.

"oh! mike! this is my friend alex, alex this is my big brother michael." sam explained, motioning his arms between them as he introduced the two.

"nice to meet you." they said simultaneously, as they stared at one another.

"uh, sam, could i speak to you for a minute?" michael asked, grabbing sams shoulder softly.

"yeah, what's up?" sam asks.

"that girl, alex, she's bad news. you need to stay away her." michael told him quietly, eyeing the dark haired girl as he spoke.

"wait, what? what do you mean?" sam asked, looking over his shoulder at alex, who was looking through a comic book.

"what i mean, is that she's trouble sammy. you won't believe me, but she's a werewolf—i just know it."  michael said.

all sam could do was look at him. look at him in bewilderment.

"are you serious right now mike? so i finally made a friend here, then boom she's supposedly a werewolf?! i mean, why do you even care? you do remember that you chose to become a vampire and stay with star back in santa carla right? i really can't believe you mike." sam snapped, causing michael to go wide-eyed.

"no—sammy, i just know she's trouble!-"

"just go mike! if that's what you came here for, you can just leave!" sam yelled, causing the few people that were in the comic book store to look over at them. including alex.

michael just looked down in disappointment, as he walked out.

"what was that all about? are you okay?" alex asked, walking up to him.

"yeah, um, yeah i'm fine. it's nothing, mikes just being a pain that's all." sam explained, as he walked over to the shelf of comics.

"hey, let's get out of here, i wanna show ya something." alex said, grabbing his wrist gently as they walked out of the store.

as the moon was starting to peak through the clouds, sam couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

"uh, alex, where are we going? we should really get back it's getting late." sam said, worry laced in his voice.

"scared of the dark are we?" alex let out a laugh.

"no! i—uh just—"

"relax sammy, i'm just messing with you. oh! we're here!" alex exclaimed.

the two of them jogged up to this old abandoned barn, sam wondered why alex wanted to bring him here—and why she was so excited.
the barn looked like it had seen better days. it had vines growing up on the sides, one of the doors had been broken off, inside it had nothing but cobwebs and old hay, and not to mention it definitely needed a new paint job.

"well, what do ya think emerson? pretty cool huh?"

"hell no! this place is so creepy!" sam thought, but nodded his head yes. seeing that alex obviously liked this place and he didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"c'mon! you need to see this!" alex told him, as she made her way up to the loft of the barn.

sam gulped, but slowly made his way up, the ladder creaking as he did so.

soon enough he made it, and after a bit of teasing from alexandra, he saw her pull out a box from one of the drawers in the corner.

"here, i want you to have this." alex announced, handing him a ring with a pitch black stone on it.

"whoa, thanks man, i mean—thanks alex. this is so nice!" sam thanked her profusely.

all the girl did was laugh, as she gave him a quick hug.

"oh shit! what time is it?! i've gotta get home!" sam exclaimed loudly, as he quickly made his way down the very unsteady ladder.
alex was right behind him as the two raced to his house.
as they finally reached sams home, alex insisted that she'd walk him to the door, not taking no for an answer.

"whoa, that was crazy! i never knew i could run that fast!" sam said out of breath.

"there you are sam! i've been looking all over for you!" the loud voice of max rang through their ears.

"thanks for getting him home safely, you know how reckless boys can be." max joked, clearly not amusing alex in the slightest.

"well, i'll see ya tomorrow sam, goodnight." alex said, taking once last glance at him before turning around.

"goodnight!" max said, as he waved at her.

the girl noticed a blood red ring on his index finger.
"vampires, great" she thought to herself.

just wait until the others hear about this...
