(Disclaimer: I wrote this in 4th grade and was not very educated on actual Greek mythology. From what I know now from what actual Hellenic Pagans have said, the fact that Rick made it so Athena had children is offensive/disrespectful (towards Athena) and I'm now aware of that. Please correct me if I am wrong about this but I thought that now that it's been years since I wrote this and am now educated I should take responsibility and put this disclaimer.)
Everyone was looking at me, I mean everyone, but no one was talking. It was dead silent except for the crackling and popping of the fire and the chirping from the crickets. I didn't know what to do or say so I just looked around me to the woods on my left, the flowers littering the ground, the lake a quarter-mile in front of me, like literally anywhere else except for all the people staring at me.
"Ahem". Chiron cleared his throat and all eyes were on him. "I believe that today's campfire will be ending early tonight and I will have a short announcement tomorrow at breakfast," Chiron said, in a calm but serious voice. Everybody knew that he meant business and went straight to their cabins with Chiron on their heels after he put out the fire. Chiron came over to me after he put out the fire and said, "Please meet me at the big house in 15 minutes." I nodded in response and headed over to Annabeth, who was with the rest of the Athena cabin which was making their way over to their cabin.
On the way over to Annabeth, I looked at the lake which was now to my left, and admired it's beauty and then looked straight and looked over at all of the cabins in admiration of all the detail and work that was obviously put into them. I jogged over to Annabeth and on the way got very confused glances at me. "Hey," I said. "I get it if you don't wanna be friends." "Why wouldn't I?" Annabeth said. "Ummmm because I pretty much shouldn't exist," I said. "Well, Athena is a maiden and virgin goddess, but has had lots of demigod children without breaking her vows," Annabeth said while gesturing at all of her siblings. "Oh yeah I didn't think about it like that, because I was also born without Artemis breaking her vows, I guess people are just pretty shaken up about the whole Artemis having children idea," I said. "I'm glad you now see it from a different perspective now." Annabeth said.
I ran over to the big house and brought Annabeth with me even though he didn't say to, I just hoped that being early would make up for the fact that I brought her. When we arrived at the big house a man that looked about 45 with curly brown hair, a goatee-beard sorta thing goin' on, a leopard pattern shirt, black jeans, white Nike sneakers and to top it off a big pot/beer belly. "We've been expecting you." The man said. "Oh and your little friend." He added with disgust in his voice. "Who are you?" I asked. "Mr.D." Annabeth answered, also with disgust in her voice even though I obviously asked Mr.D. "The "d" is for Dionysus." He said, with....shame? in his voice. Mr.D gestured for us to come in and led us into the same living room area that Chiron had taken me last time I was in the big house. Chiron who was sitting on one of the couches beckoned for us to sit down ignoring the fact that I had brought Annabeth.
"So why did you invite me here Chiron?" I asked. "To discuss your parentage," Chiron said. "I figured," I said. "So now that your parentage is confirmed, we need to discuss the matter of how your parents met because Artemis won't fall for just any man." "Well," I said. "It's a long story, but i'll explain." I spent the next 10 minutes telling Chiron how my parents met, and he seemed very intrigued.
"Well now that, that matter is dealt with you may go. Annabeth please take Isla to her cabin and then immediately return to your cabin. I will let the harpies know about you two so you are not ripped to shreds." "Of course," Annabeth said. "Goodnight Chiron, Mr.D." I said. "Goodnight girls," Chiron said. " 'Night Annibelle and (ur name messed up)," Mr.D said. "That's-." I said. "Just leave it," Annabeth said. "Ummmm, ok." I said.
When we arrived at my cabin, it was entirely silver and glowed liked moonlight. (Yes I'm quoting the description of it from "The Lost Hero", pg.57.) "Well, here's your cabin take a bunk unpack, and try to get as much sleep as possible because you are going to need it." Annabeth said. "Alright, thanks for showing me where my cabin was." I said. "Oh no problem, 'night." Annabeth said. " 'Night." I say, and watch her all the way until she gets to her cabin.
I go inside and gawk at how beautiful the inside of the cabin was. All the curtains were silver with iridescent glitter on them, gray carpet making it feel more cozy, a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams and lots of bunks. I mean lots, I guessed that was because usually only the hunters are here and they need a lot of bunks. The bunks were luckily somewhat light and not bolted to the floor, so I took the one to the farthest right and first turned it 180 degrees so the headboard was facing the door pushed it towards the door 'til it hit the wall, and then pushed it against the right wall. Satisfied I pushed a dresser next to it and put all of my stuff in it. I changed into my PJ's got ready for bed and put my sheets and pillow on the top bunk.
I crawled into my bed and opened the blinds by the bed so I could see out the window. I stared out the window looking at the moon and stars 'til I told myself I should go to bed and closed my eyes and eventually fell asleep.
(My dream.) All I could see was black. A male's voice talked to me. "In two years' time my son will enter your camp and I need you to be ready. He will be a big role in the next two great prophecy's. Watch out for him." And that was the last I heard of the voice. For a good twenty seconds I was shown a boy that looked my age sitting in class, he had sea green eyes, black hair, and a tanned olive skin tone. Then it was black again and I went to sleep, sleep.
