(In this chapter, there will be a mention of nightmares. I'll put a warning just before the part.  :D)

Joseph was blushing pretty darkly. "Oh well, we'll just have to share a bed, polpetto." Caesar said then walked into the room. Joseph could't believe that Caesar was actually ok with sharing a bed. Not that Joseph didn't mind, well, he wasn't exactly sure how to feel about it. Joseph walked into the room as well. Caesar sat down onto the but then sighed in satisfaction. "Hm, I'm surprised this bed is actually comfy." Joseph sat down next to him. "You're right. The bed is pretty comfy. Hopefully I sleep well tonight." Joseph said then chuckled. Caesar hummed in response, not knowing what to say. "This week has been a crazy week. But I'm just so happy that you're alive." Joseph looked at Caesar then smiled. Caesar smiled back, "I'm happy to see you too, principessa. It's been too long." Joseph rolled his eyes at the nickname. "Are you ever going to stop calling me that?" Joseph asked. Caesar smirked, "No. Besides, I know you secretly like that nickname, principessa." Joseph chuckled softly. "Whatever, Cae." He said. Joseph took off his shoes then laid down in the bed, letting out a sigh in relief. Caesar did the same. Joseph blushed softly at being so close to Caesar, so he slid over until he was near the edge. Caesar looked at him then raised an eyebrow. "What? Do I have a disease?" Caesar asked. Joseph chuckled, a bit nervously. "No. I think it's just a bit too close. I need room and personal space." I mean it wasn't a complete lie. It was a bit too close. Caesar hummed in response. "Ok. Well you might fall of the bed for being that close to the edge." Caesar said softly. Joseph smirked, "Awwww Cae, are you worried about me?" He teased. Caesar looked at him. "Don't make me push you off the bed." He responded, causing Joseph to laugh. "Ok ok. Let's just get some rest. We have some traveling to do tomorrow." He closed his eyes as he started to relax. Caesar hummed at he closed his eyes as well. The both of them eventually fell asleep.

(This is the warning: Nightmare mentioning ahead)

Caesar woke up to darkness, it must've at least been midnight or the early morning. He had been woken up by noises or mumbling. Caesar looked around until his gaze met Joseph. Joseph's eyebrows were furrowed, sweat dripping down his face along with a few tears, and he was mumbling a few things. "Please......no....don't....don't leave...me..." Caesar realized that Joseph was having a nightmare. So, he sat up slowly then put one of his hands on Joseph's shoulders. He lightly shook him but the other didn't wake up, so, he shook him a bit rougher. Joseph jolted awake then immediately sat up, gasping then breathing heavily. He put his hands on his face as he began to cry. The sight of that, broke Caesar's heart. Caesar didn't want to startle the other, so, he lightly rubbed his back, only for Joseph to hit the hand away then covered his face again. "Polpetto, it's just me." He said softly as he reached over once again, rubbing his back. Joseph leaned over to the side, resting his head on Caesar's shoulder as he cried. Caesar waited for Joseph to calm down to speak again. "Thank you, Cae." Joseph said. Caesar nodded. "Of course. Do you want to talk about it?" Caesar asked, his voice still soft. Joseph was silent for a moment then he nodded. "I had a dream that you actually died. That what happened yesterday wasn't real. But I'm so happy that the nightmare wasn't real. I'm so happy that you're here." Joseph explained. Caesar nodded. "I won't ever leave you again. I promise." Caesar said then smiled. Joseph smiled back, "Good."

(Okiiieee nightmare part is over teeheehee)

Without thinking, Caesar kissed the top of Joseph's head. Joseph blushed softly, but didn't say anything about it. Caesar blushed as well but did the same as Joseph, not mentioning it. Joseph leaned off of Caesar so that the other could get comfortable again. Caesar laid back down then pulled Joseph down. Joseph smiled then snuggled up to Caesar, resting his head on the other's chest. "Good night, Cae." He said then closed his eyes. "Good night, principessa." Caesar responded before closing his eyes as well. They both fell asleep once again. Caesar soon woke up to the shining sun. He looked down to see Joseph still resting his head on his chest. He smiled warmly. He didn't want to move, afraid that he would awaken the other from his slumber. Soon enough, Joseph's eyes fluttered open. "Good morning, principessa." Caesar said softly. Joseph smiled, not lifting his head from the other's chest. "Good morning, Cae." He mumbled. Caesar heard mumbling on the other side of the door. "Knock first!" It sounded like Kakyoin. The door swung open, revealing Polnareff and Kakyoin behind him. Joseph looked over then blushed. Polnareff and Kakyoin smirked. "I-It's not what it looks like!" Joseph shouted.
