Mary's POV
After 3 hours of the DuBois being over, they soon started talking about a dinner party.
"Yeah, I heard someone in our neighborhood was hosting a dinner party for the new neighbors and to get to know each other a bit more." Mr. DuBois explained.
To be honest, I kinda just wanted to stay home and continue to read my books. But knowing that Mom and Dad wanted to fit in with everybody, I had no choice but to dress up nicely.
The DuBois' left, and I went to my room and changed into my formal attire for the party.
