Mom's POV
As me and Noah (Dad) got ready for the dinner party, I saw my daughter in a boring shirt and pants outfit. I was annoyed by how boy-ish my daughter can be!"Mary! Can you please just change into something more formal?" I asked, "I'm tired of people giving us a look everytime you dress like a tomboy."
"Alright fine!" She said with attitude, and stomped upstairs and slammed her room shut.
She's lucky me or her father didn't give her the belt.
Mary's POV
Argh, I hate it when my mom asks me to change my outfit. One day, I'll actually refuse to change my clothes into something that she or my father wants. After that, I changed into a short pink lace dress, a pair of white pearl earrings, and a special bracelet. This bracelet is special because my late Aunt wore this.
My Aunt's name was Denise. She and I were very close, but she often got in trouble with the law, and stole to give stuff for our family. One day, she managed to actually save enough money to afford me a silver bracelet.
I promised to cherish and love it with all of my heart. And then, it became a beautiful memory because Aunt Denise soon became diagnosed with pneumonia after smoking cigarettes each day. I miss her, and I pray for her in heaven each night.
Meanwhile, I step downstairs and show my new outfit to my parents.
"Ah, much better." My mom said, and we left the house. After the car ride, we came across a big mansion, with a big gate opening on its own.
"Wow! You managed to get us to live in a good neighbourhood, Noah!" exclaimed my Mom.
We parked and got out of the car. My dad rang the doorbell, and entered an old white lady, with glasses, and a black glittery dress.
"Welcome to my home!" said the old lady, "Are you the new neighbors?"
"Why yes. Yes we are." responded my Dad.
As they talked, we went inside and sat at two sets of dining rooms. The adults in one room, and the kids in another room.
I sat with the other kids, and it was wild. Some kids threw food around the room, some kids cursed some foul language, then I saw Jazmine sitting talking next to a black boy.
He looked cute with a beautiful natural afro, he dressed in a formal attire and had a scowl on his face while talking to her.
Next to him was a boy who looked like him with the same outfit, but he had cornrows and was throwing food everywhere and also cursing as well.
Then Jazmine noticed me:
"Hey Mary! So glad to see you again, meet Huey!"
She pointed at him, and he just waved his hand. I responded with "Charmed."
Jazmine started talking but I didn't listen to a word she said. Then out of nowhere, some fat black man with grey hair, and a bulging eyeball on his right noticed me.
"Well, well, well. Are you the little new negro who the glorious white people are talking about?" he said.
"Uh yes..? And why are you calling me negro?" I asked.
"Because suddenly all the black people are moving into this glorious white neighborhood! This place is no longer great with all these black people invading our space!"
I was shocked and realized this must be a black man being an Uncle Tom.
"Let me guess, you're a racist Uncle Tom?"
"My name is Uncle Ruckus, no relation, and you need to learn some manners you little nasty ass negro!"
Then, I heard a kid say attack! And then everyone threw food and drinks at that racist bastard. He fled screaming for help."Weirdo..." I muttered, and continued to eat some ribs.
