Chapter 3

(Maria's dress for the wedding)
No One's POV:

AT THE WEDDING:

(Outside the castle, fireworks are bursting in the sky. Inside, festive music playing, while people are standing around and watching the newly-married couple enjoy the wedding festivities. Meanwhile, Lola spots Colin nervously carrying two chalices of wine towards queen Mary who is talking to a group of gentlemen.)

"Your Grace. Beautiful evening, is it not?" Colin says to Mary as Lola continues to watch Colin as he speaks with Mary until Greer walks up to her

"Why aren't you with Colin?" Greer ask and both girls watch as Colin takes Mary's hand and kisses it gently

"What's he doing with Mary?" Greer ask a little confused

"She's his queen. He's just paying his respects." Lola says trying to believe herself while seeing Colin presents Mary with one of the chalices and proposes a toast to her

"Let's raise a glass: To the happy couple," Colin says

"Hear, hear." An old man says

Don't drink the wine. Mary, who recalls the warning given by the mysterious stranger. Instead of drinking, she gently lays the chalice back down as Colin nervously walks off.

Seeing Lola and Greer staring attentively Mary in worry says "Oh, Lola, no."

Turning to one of her friends Mary says "Aylee, I want to go dance."

"You can't dance alone," Aylee says

"I won't be alone," Mary says before she and Aylee walk toward Greer and Lola. Kenna joining them

"Lola, come dance with me. Take off your shoes. Come on. Dance with me." Mary says pulling Lola to the dance floor the others following after them removing their shoes while doing so

(The girls hold hands and dance wildly, while the King - and his ex-mistress - looks on. The girls laugh wildly, but the Queen looks unamused)

"We're overrun by Scots," Catherine says sarcastically while watching the girls dance

Meanwhile on the other side of the room stands Queen Maria with her ladies Zendaya, Sophia, Ashleigh, and Bella watching the dance

"Girls I would like to join the dance take off your shoes," Maria says taking off hers and walking to the dance floor her ladies follow

(The rest of the onlookers clap and laugh along. Some of them even join them in dancing.)

Looking around at the people Maria sees Catherine in the crowd and runs to her.

" Catherine come dance with me please," Maria ask pulling on Catherine's arm

"Maria I can not dance," She says

"Please" Maria pouts

Sighing Catherine says " Alright"

Before taking off her shoes and joining Maria on the dance floor.

While on the dance floor Bash and Maria's eyes meet. Francis notices this and looks annoyed, until feathers begin to fall from the ceiling, reminding Maria of a time when she and Francis and Mary would jump on a bed when they were children, with feathers scattering about the room. Then, their eyes meet until the married couple starts to leave and the room starts to clear out

"Look Elisabeth and Philip are leaving," Sophia says

"It's time for the consummation; the ritual; the ceremony; the mystery. Aren't you curious?" Maria says grabbing Sophia and Zendaya's hand and pulling them away.
