Liv eyed the road just beyond the town sign. Her fingertips tapped against one another, creating a miniature pattern to focus on. The stars blinked and danced in the night. Forever her silent companions... Sheriff muttered something for a moment, his eyes flickering open by the smallest fraction before closing once more. She couldn't help but smile.

Even in the darkness, she could see the town. The moon's light outlined every building, from the very edge to the center of the street-town. She wondered what it must have been like for the daytime folk. Most likely, it was difficult to see at night for them.

An engine. It was off in the distance. She shot her eyes towards the road. A car was racing down it, speeding far beyond the posted limit. The ticking stopped. Liv stepped back, moving until she was just beside Sheriff. The ticking returned to normal, and she tapped his door.

"Sheriff! There's a speeder, and he's coming this way!" Her whisper-hiss went unheeded. She rolled her eyes with a sigh. "Sheriff!" She tapped his door again. While she wanted to yell, her vocal chords refused the action. "Sonova...!" She refused to curse. She wanted to, make no mistake... But her upbringing refused it.

The speeding car shot by. Sheriff startled awake, the lights on his hood flashing on. He blinked, before glaring down the road as the hot rod's engine revved.

"Not in my town you don't!" The ticking slowed again. Liv took off. Sheriff's tires were throwing up plenty of pebbles, but at this time rate, it was relatively easy to dodge. She ran on, eyes locked on the strange car further down the road. It would be easy to catch.

She slowed down to a light jog. No point in being spotted, although the other was probably going to be at the impound for a few days. That very thought made her seek to slash his tires... She let time continue on as it naturally should. The car shot off. Sheriff's engine backfired as he roared past her. She could hear him muttering to himself as he drove.

The car started swerving. Liv nearly did a double take. Did... Was-... Were they drunk? Whatever they were, they were swerving, and heading straight for town. Sheriff's engine backfired. The car slashed right into the hazard cones that lay on the right side of the road. Liv slowed time down. She cast a glare towards the stranger before sliding on behind it. A few cones were too high in the air for her to reach, but she still grabbed each that she could, moving them off the road into a pack as the car slammed into each new cone in front of them.

Sheriff had stopped chasing at this point, just staring in shock as the car dashed towards the Cozy Cones. The car- now masculine based on his scream at the cones- took off in the opposing direction. Liv watched mutely as he crashed into the barbed-wire-fence on the other side of the road. He ripped it up with minimal effort. He tore through town. His next hit was Luigi and Guido's tire store. Every single tire the two had spent hours stacking and un-stacking and re-stacking was sent soaring into the sky. It all crashed down, save the tire-tower.

The car was still screaming. Liv blinked a few times.

".... He's acting like a hopped-up rabbit..." Liv shook herself. Right. The guy was tearing up the town. May as well get down to business. She ran towards Luigi and Guido's shop. The Fiat 500 and his small forklift brother were cowering in the shop, eyes brimming with tears. Liv waved. She knew they probably just saw a blur of a person, but it still felt polite.

Her eyes were snagged by a tire trying to roll across the road. Liv pattered over. Her hands wrapped around the rubber. She dragged it back into the shop's square. Tires littered the entire cream-white surface, some still spinning from the velocity of that stupid car's stunt. Speaking of.. Time shot back into place. Liv peaked around the edge of the shop. He was racing towards Red's flowers. Red locked onto the car, and quickly backed up into the fire station. Liv didn't blame him one bit.
