It's really weird being here. Everyone's being so nice, but it's just so different. We've lived with our grandma since we were little, and once she died we had nowhere to go. I'm glad we have a home now, but tomorrow is my first doctors appointment with Hadley, and we just got here today. I don't know how she's going to react towards my cancer, but I hope she doesn't give up on me because of it.
***Time Skip To Next Day***
We are on our way to the appointment, and I'm getting more nervous by the minute. I think Hadley could tell something's wrong.
Hadley- "You ok?"
Me- "No."
Hadley- "What's wrong?"
Me- "Are you gonna love me even if something happens with my cancer?"
Hadley- "Of course! Why would you think otherwise?"
Me- "I don't know. We just met you yesterday, and now you're coming to the hospital with me to learn about my cancer. It feels weird to me."
Hadley- "Yes. But Harvey and I will always be here for you and your sister."
Me- "So you'll be like our mom? And Harvey our dad?"
Hadley- "Yes."
Me- Do we call you that?"
Hadley- "You don't have to, but you can."
Me- "Ok.......Mom."
We both smile.
