Linda was very tired and very confused. "Geoff go back to sleep. You know you go mental when your tired." Geoff bit his lip. He knew he goes mental at times, but he also could've sworn it was real. "Geoff, we'll check in the morning if what you saw was real." Geoff looked out the window to see the big clock in the town.
"1:30, 1:30am. At 6:30, we shall get up and check." said Geoff. Linda agreed and fell back asleep. Faster then a pin hitting the ground. Geoff lied down in bed and fell asleep. Still with the doubt that what he saw was fake.
Morning came. Once the sun came up around 5:30,Geoff was up. Staring at the clock. Almost as if it would make time move faster. Once the clock struck six o'clock, Geoff waited for the bells and after each one he counted. "One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six." Once the bells where done ringing, he walked over to Linda's side of the bed. "Linda, Linda honey wake up. Its six o'clock."
Linda very weakly, woke up. Geoff grabbed her wrist and walked her slowly down the hall. As they were walking down the hall, Linda rubber her eyes. "Okay, Linda we are going to take one quick look at Ashley, then we will walk to the living room." Linda shock her head. "Why do you even have me up?" Geoff put his finger over his lips to tell Linda to hush up.
Geoff carefully turned the door knob. Only making a few checking noises along the way. Once the door was opened, Ashley was on the floor asleep where they left her. "Geoff why are you showing me Ashley?" He hushed her again and turned back at Ashely confused.
They both walked around Ashley and pulled the blanket down a little more to get a better look at her face. Once the blanket was near the center of her stomach, Linda dropped the blanket and covered her mouth. Tears started to full her eyes. Once the first tear rolled down her cheek, Geoff grabbed her shoulders and lead her into the living room.
"Linda." said Geoff. "How can this happen? Just yesterday, she was a cute little five year old. Now she's a-a, She's a fifteen year old!" Linda put her head down and cried into her hands. Geoff picked up her face and wiped away the tears with his thumb.
"Linda dear, She is still our little girl. She is just grown." Linda pushed Geoff's hands off of her face and onto her lap. "But Geoff, how are we going to get her into school?" Geoff sighed. "I'll find a way. Even if I have to work in the mines all day long." Linda and Geoff both started to smile.
At that moment is when Ashley came out of her room and into the living room with the blanket wrapped around her. Geoff chuckled. "Ashley dear why do you have your blanket on like a gown?" said Linda with slight amusement. "Well mom. You see last night I fell asleep five. Now I'm fifteen. Long story short, I need new clothes." Everyone started to chuckle.
"I promise Ashley, you can wear my clothes and we'll go shopping after lunch." Ashley walked into her mothers room and tried on clothes until she found the right clothes for her. Black legging, a red shirt, and black sneakers.
