Calm Before The Storm

"Holten!" I yelped. He was currently chasing me around the house because I poured cold water on him to wake him up.

"Ryder, I will catch you and when I do...." 

I gulped but I was grinning. I knew he was playing. I ran into closet and closed it back. I tried to calm my breathing. It was amazing that I was 17 and kid games still made my adrenaline rush. The door flew open.

"Damn it!" I exclaimed. He chuckled and stepped in and reclosed the door. 

I felt his body heat. He grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me towards him. I couldnt see anything. Our chests were pressed together and he wrapped his arms around my waist. 

"Told you I'd find you" He pressed his lips on my neck.

"Whatre you gonna do?"

"Make you come out of the closet" I laughed.

"Little to late for that"

"Holten!" Kellan called. Holten sighed.

"Later then" I could hear the smirk in his voice. We headed towards his living room and Kellan and Beck were there, with Daya, Hannah, and that Oli kid. 

"We thought every weekend we could all hang out" Beck said.

"Thats cool" I said picking up Hannah. 

"Ryder!"

"I missed you too Hannahbear"

"Why arnt you home anymore?"

"Hannah, Ryder deserves to have some fun" Daya said. Hannah sighed and I frowned. 

"Ryder, that docter called and said her cast probably needed to be taken off" Daya told me.

"We'll go there first then. But before that we have to give Hannah something" Holten said. Hannahs face lit up and asked me to put her down. She went over to Holten and he picked her up. 

"Hi Holten"

"You know my name....sweet." She whispered something to him and he laughed. They left the room and when I heard a squeal, I knew she liked the fish. That made me smile. 

Conners Pov

"Shut up Holten"

"I dont think I will Ryder. Its a free country"

"My ass"

"Is mine" They bothed laughed. Shit. I went and hid in a storage room. They must be here for his sisters cast. Hopefully Anna wouldnt mention me.

Holtens Pov

"You know my name....sweet" I told her. 

"Of course I do, I want you to be Ryders boyfriend" That made me bust out laughing. When I showed her what Ryder had gotten her, she was so happy. She had thanked him a million times. While in the car, she named him Cookie Monster. (This is what i named my blue beta when I was little so I just used itXD) 

When we got to the hospital, everyone but Hannah, Ryder and I stayed in the car. Once the Docter, Anna as she told me to call her, took Hannah back, we sat down. Ryder looked nervous.

"She'll be okay"

"I know" Well what was he upset about then.

"Whats the matter Mr. Grumpy Gills?"

"Shut it"

"When life brings you down ya know whatcha gotta do?"

"I swear I'll hit you"
