Washington's dream
I see Maya running and running as a red coat is chasing her and he aims his gun at her and she shoots her! "No!" I yell as I shoot the red coat and I run to Maya and hold her in my arms. "D-daddy?" She says weakly "I-I'm right here little Lieutenant... I'm right here.." I say shakingly as I hear her say her voice fading away by the minute " p-papa?" "y-yes little lieutenant?" I ask crying a bit as she says "i-i love you... d-don't fo-forget me pl-please..." and then it happens she fades away
Washington's POV
I jump awake and look at my daughter as she starts to move around and she wakes up. I'm happy she's safe, I pull her into a hug as tears fall down both of our faces, she hugs me tightly as I do the same. "D-don't le-let me go daddy..." Maya says shakingly as I stutter "I-I won't. Little Lieutenant. I won't." "P-promise?" She asks stuttering. "I promise." I say as the sun rises and it shines through the fabric of the tent. As I hear maya mumble softly to me "papa?" "Yes, little Lieutenant?" I ask as she looks up at me " a-are you nervous about having me as a baby to raise?" She asks as I look at her a bit confused "what do you mean by that little Lieutenant?" "I-I mean do you think you'll be a good father to baby me..." she says as I think about it for a few moments then I realize I haven't really thought about it much since I've been more focused on winning the war and making sure maya is alright and not getting into trouble, which she hasn't... yet.
