A/N: Not together yet ;)
It was three days before Christmas, everyone in camp was supposed to write their Christmas wish list.
A certain daughter of Athena only wanted one thing, and she wrote that one thing on a piece of paper, which she hid under her worksheets.
When Annabeth went out of her cabin to do her daily activities, Percy was heading to the Athena Cabin to bug Annabeth since he was bored.
When he reached the cabin, he knocked in the door. But no one answered since everyone was out doing their daily activities.
Percy knocked again, "Helloooo? Anybody home?"
Silenc,
Shrugging, Percy went inside to look for Annabeth. When he reached her bunk and desk, he saw tons of worksheets in top of it. Chuckling softly, he picked up one to see what kind of problems it had. After glancing at it, he picked up another one. After a while, he was almost finished with looking at all of them when he saw a sea-green colored post-it sticking out behind a paper.
Curiously, he picked it up and read what was written on it.
It said:
My Christmas wish would be that Seaweed Brain would notice how I really feel about him and not be so oblivious.
As Percy read it, he was shocked. No way is this Annabeth... even if the handwriting looks exactly like hers and even if she's the only one who calls me Seaweed Brain. He thought after putting the paper back.
Suddenly he heard the door open, "Percy? What are you doing here?" said a voice.
Turning around, he saw Annabeth standing at the doorway. "Oh umm... I was just answering your Um worksheets."
"Answering my worksheets?"
"Yep, in fact I'm done answering them. I'll be going now." he said nervously. Slipping past Annabeth, he walked back to his cabin. A plan forming in his mind on how to make Annabeth's wish list come true. After all... he did like Annabeth back.
~[Days Later At Christmas Eve]~
Annabeth was walking to the campfire, humming a Christmas song.
As she was walking she saw Percy walking towards her.
"Annabeth, I um need to ask you something, meet me by the beach later tonight?"
Unmistakably Annabeth's heart skipped a beat. What could he be asking me?
Before she could ask Percy what it was about, he was called by Grover.
"Well, Grover's calling me, gotta go and see what he wants. Merry Christmas, Wise Girl!" with that, he walked away towards Grover.
~[After Campfire Ended Already]~
Annabeth quickly got off the grass and walked to the beach.
When she got there, she saw Percy sitting on the beach, where the water met the sand.
Annabeth walked towards him and sat beside him. Not caring about getting wet.
"So, Seaweed Brain, what were you going to ask me?"
"Well actually I'm going to tell you a story first, then ask you." he said, staring out at the sea."
"Go on... I want to hear this story of yours."
"Once upon a time, there was this boy, about my age. He had a best friend that was a girl. One day, he was very bored! That's why he came to his best friend's house to go and bug her. When he knocked, no one answered. Shrugging, he went in anyways. Closing the door, he walked to where her bed and table was. On the table, he saw piles and piles of... Math worksheets."
'Piles of Math worksheets? Sounds like a child of Athena...' Annabeth thought.
"He knew he wasn't very good at Math. Not good at academics at all. But for the fun of it, and because he was bored, he tried answering them. When he picked up almost every worksheet already, he saw a little green post-it half hidden behind a paper. Curious, he picked it up and read it. When he was reading it, he realized that this was his best friend's wish list for Christmas. There was only one wish written on it, and he was more than happy to make it cone true. When he put down the post-it he heard someone enter the room. Turning around, it was his best friend! Muttering a bunch of excuses, he went out of the house. A plan already forming in his head. The end." Percy finished.
"That's it?" Annabeth asked, wanting to know what the plan was. It sounds... kinda when I caught Percy the other day at my cabin!
"Yep!"
"Oh... no continu-" Annabeth got cut off by the Christmas bell of the camp, signaling 12:00.
When the bell finised ringing, Annabeth saw fireworks in front of them, seemingly coming from the sea. At first, the fireworks seemed normal.
But after a while, Annabeth noticed that the fireworks we're forming... letters?
Percy stood up, and offered his hand to her. Looking away from the fireworks for a moment, she took his hand.
When she too was standing up, she looked back at the fireworks.
This time, it wasn't just letter. It was a sentence! And what shocked Annabeth even more was the fireworks said.
It said:
Will you help me make your wish come true, Wise Girl?
Will you go out with me?
Annabeth, shocked looked at Percy, who was smiling at her.
Slowly, he leaned towards her, she also leaned, until their lips met in the middle, and more fireworks exploded.
When they pulled away, he held her hand. She put her head on his shoulder, watching the fireworks.
After a while, it started forming sentences again.
This time it said;
Wishes do come true, Wise Girl.
