Fluffy white clouds dotted the sky creating illusions, the ocean blue sky rippled with the clouds. Rolling green hills framed the meadow, small bushes with light pink flowers peeked out from the bushes like they were shy. All of a sudden a huge wooden structure emerged from the ground, loooking very imposing. In front of it a lower wooden structure had white wooden fences in front of it with horses galloping in them. " We are here little filly," my dad yelled to me in the car.
" Dad, we are in the car and yet you feel the need to shout" I screamed back. Our green Suburu rolled in the parking lot, a horse van following smoothly. The school was flooding with 7th graders leading horses across the lawn. I was in love, totally in love with the school. I hopped out, my golden brown hair swinging around my head. I speed walked to the blue horse van and pulled down the ramp.
Cliff pranced down the ramp swinging his mighty black head. I grabbed hold of his night blue lead rope and started walking him down the gravel path with manicured lawns flanking it. I huge ocean of people were in my way.
But I had an idea, make an entrance. And a big one for that. " Dad, give me a boost." I slung the lead rope over his neck and dad catapulted me on Cliff. " Watch out, horse coming through. Please don't let me run over you." I trotted, swerving around the other people JUST leading their horses. At the stable doors I hopped off, patting Cliff on his neck.
Just as I was turning around a girl shouted at me, " Watch your back loser, ew, I bet you can't even ride. I be that you will be leaving right after tryouts." Um, well that was very rude. Who is she?
" Don't mind her. Her name is Zoe and she rode the A circut. Thinks she is all so great. Wait, OMG you are Emma, your Emma Rownson!!!!! OMG!! IAMMEETINGEMMAROWANSONOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
" And you are?" I asked in a very questioning tone.
" Um I am Kate, I got 4th place in the equitation finals last year." I arched one of my eyebrows still not remembering who she was. " My mom is called Momma Tigeress, the crazy mom." My trainer is Bently."
" Oh, your Kate. Your such a fantastic rider."
" Your the best. You won."
I giggled, and a small smile creeped through me. " I don't know, but maybe. Can you tell me more about Zoe? I do this thing where I scope out my competition by doing a thorough research about them."
" Zoe does hunters instead of jumpers and eq. In the hunter world she is compared to an Olympian. Her parents are crazy rich, and when I mean rich I mean the President kind of rich. All her horses are over 300,000 dollars and move like a goddess, it is amazing to watch." Kate's face was contorted as she talked about Zoe, her eyes narrowed to slits and her smiling mouth went into a deep set frown. " SHe rode at my stable, once Zoe came all the atention was turned towards her, and my trainer forgot that I was even there."
" Her last name please."
" Oh, of course, Zoe Crunch." kate slapped her cheek and turned away. "That was sooooo embarrasing," she whispered to herself, shaking her head.
"God I need to go, I swear someone is going to take my stall there is so many horses. Gotta go." I rushed thorugh the isil, Cliff trailing behind me.
I arrived at his stall and my eyes grew as big as basketballs, a silver plate graced the stall door Cliff's name curled around the silver. My dad and mom were already unpacking my tackbox, sorting it just how I liked. i took Cliff's halter off and he walked in, turned around and started chewing on hay.
