Perhaps if Lagertha had a friend to share things with, she would tell, that it was one of the sweetest things she ever heard from him. That he wanted her to smell like him. And maybe her friend would tell her, that she must be crazy. But that was a reason, why she married John. Lagertha never met a man like him. And she couldn't even imagine, that somebody the same could march the earth. No, her John was special. She did as he asked. Before she started to prepare food, she only washed her hands, but other than that, she stayed dirty. Her cheeks blushed in shame, when she felt his seed leaking and running down her thigh. Don't run away, stay, crossed her mind, but she decided to not focus on sorrow and sadness, that swallowed her mind instantly. Her hollow womb reminded itself and tears filled her eyes. But no, I have to stop crying, I have to start to focus on the positive. With these thoughts, she began to cook and bake and soon house smelled with homemade soup and bread. She didn't have much of a supplies, but she always managed to cook even from the little she found. Once she was done with cooking and the house was clean, she came to wash John's dirty clothes, that he left in bathroom the previous night. And when she was done even with that, she took a seat by the fire and took a book.

Few knocks echoed in the room and one she came to open, she saw Henry. "Ah, hello?" She furrowed her brows, tilting her head. Why did he come again, since she saw him in the morning, she wondered. She remained standing in doorway and didn't let him in.

"I am on my way to the town,so I came to ask, if you don't need anything," he said with a small smile.

Lagertha politely refused, shaking head. "No, thank you, John travelled there, so he'll bring everything, that we need."

"Uhm, yes, John," he nodded head thoughtfully. "Did you talk about the job?"

"Yes. Yes, he agreed, so I could start in the beginning of May," she nodded with smile.

"That's great!" He said and opened his arms like he wanted to hug her. That made Lagertha step back immediately. She hit the wall behind her and nervously stuttered some thankful nonsense words.

"I...I have to go. John will be soon back,"she said and turning, she realized, he took her hand and tried to pull her closer. Her eyes opened wide and she jerked her hand sharply to get from his grip. "You better be going, Henry," she said and quickly vanished in the house.

But Henry didn't realize, that by the time he walked to their property, John was already tending his horse on the stable

But Henry didn't realize, that by the time he walked to their property, John was already tending his horse on the stable. He was about to load the supplies from the cart to the house, when he heard the knock on his house. When he saw Henry standing there, his face tensed, but he waited patiently not wanting to make a scene without a reason. But understanding from her voice, that he tried to attend something further, made his blood boil. Hearing the door closing, he steppef out from the shadows and walked towards him. "Evenin', neighbor," he said coldly, watching him back as he stood behind the closed door.

"Ah, John! Good evening!" He turned to him with a smile. "Already back from the town, hm?"

"Hm..." he grunted, supporting himself on his axe. "Can I ask, what business ya have in my house in this god damn hour?" He narrowed his eyes.
