Light creeped into the room, footsteps approached the bed. Dear God what was going to happen....
Chapter Three
I peered through the covers, there was a faint silhouette standing at the foot of the bed. A shiver shot down my spine as memories flew round my mind, memories that I kept securely locked in the back of my mind. My heart sped up, far too much, I didn't like it. It was just how it used to be.
"Who are you?" I asked as calmly as I could manage, my voice cracking on the 'you'.
"Beth, this was an accident, you shouldn't have been there, this shouldn't have happened-" I cut into his speech, Alfie, it was his fault, I couldn't hear it, I just couldn't.
"An accident? Didn’t seem like one to me,” my heart kept beating, faster and faster, I was confused, I don't think I've ever had this many feelings floating about inside me. I looked up at his face, he had moved closer, but still kept a safe distance, he must have felt the fear radiating from my heart.
"Beth," he hushed, why was I even listening to him. Okay I wanted answers, but I wanted to get home, well maybe not home, I just wanted away from this place. I moved my legs abruptly unraveling the covers that trapped me.
"Beth, you can't leave," he stated, calmly holding the covers down, "I know you must be confused and frustrated, but, well your kinda caught up in this now..."
"Like hell! Caught up in what exactly.." I interrupted not caring about pleasantries.
"It's a long story, but I promise nothing will happen to you here, I will protect you, no one will dare test my authority, Beth, no one will hurt the one I love."
My face felt flustered, he had authority? He was in charge here? And yet again, he loves me, how could he, it just doesn't make sense, not one little bit.
"Why. Am. I. Here?" I hissed through my teeth, his golden eyes peeking out from behind a curtain of beautifully tamed curls. He drew me in with every part of his body, his beautiful eyes, his startling locks and well that body... He draws in all the girls like this, he used me, he's a monster! I had to keep telling myself as he stared at me with emotionless eyes.
"Where. Am. I?" I hissed again, hoping he would get the point, I wasn't up for playing games, and this most definitely wasn't funny.
He drew a breath, I looked in his golden eyes, I could've sworn they looked pained. He couldn't feel that, he's practically my kidnapper.
I took a deep breath in, I've been kidnapped, it sunk in, I've been kidnapped by my Alfie.
