Chapter 7: through the ice part 1

Rayla: hello my fellow human friends human Rayla here. I know your thinking where's the author well let's just say-

Icedemon: Rayla I know it's you the only reason I'm letting you do this is cause your just too cute. now let me do  my thing.

3rd pov

as the day settles in Ezran and Callum  sleeping under a tree with Ezran snoring while Y/n is leaning his back against the tree also resting. while Rayla was sleeping on one of the tall roots of the tree as she turns over holding her hand as it was slowly turning purple making her whimper in pain. then the scene changes as a person in the shadows of the forest was slowly approaching  the sleeping group as the figure continues to approach the group it climbs over a fallen tree log but accidently steps on a branch making a sound that wakes up Y/n and Rayla. as the two get up quietly Y/n draws his sword incase if they were attacked by what made the sound.

Y/n: *whisper tone* you heard that too right Rayla?

Rayla: *whisper tone* yeah you stay here with the other two incase there's more than one.

Y/n nods to her as Rayla jumps down from the root and heads into the forest while Y/n stays with the sleeping Callum and Ezran as he sticks his sword into the ground waiting incase of an attack. as Rayla enters the forest she looks around before cautiously move on ahead hiding behind trees then looking out again she then sees the broken branch on the ground as she approached it she picks it up examining it. then the bush behind her starts to rustle  which makes her jump back pulling out her blades in blade form looking at the bush ready for any thing to come out but a deer comes out of the bush which Rayla folds her blades and puts them away as the deer wasn't a threat which she approaches the deer calmly getting on one knee.

Rayla: you scared me, you wee cutie. *brings up her hand that was slowly turning purple as the deer licks it making Rayla wince a little* thanks, little one. but my hand's got a problem you can't lick away. *the deer looks up then runs* what's the matter?

she turns to see a net flying at her Rayla tries to get away but the net catches her as the figure from before was in the trees jumps down with a chained hook weapon. the man was a dark skinned male with dark hair wearing clothes that of a scout.

scout: never trapped an elf before. *spins his chained weapon* easier than I thought.

he then swings his chained weapon at Rayla who manages to get free from the net and evade the attack as she flips back facing the scout who pulls the chained weapon back  to bring it back to his hand. Rayla then pulls out her blades again charges the scout clashing their weapons together. the scene changes back to where Y/n his whose looking around incase if there were more following them. then Ezran get's up from his sleep stretching his arms while yawning he looks around first at the spot were Rayla is then to Y/n's sleeping spot. only to see that there empty he then goes to his sleeping brother to tell him.

Ezran: *lightly shakes Callum* Callum? I think we're alone.

Callum: finally...oh I've been waiting for this moment.

Ezran: Callum?

Callum: mmm. your breath still smells like peanut butter.

Y/n: oh boy he's dreaming which I can assume involves a girl.

Ezran: Callum!

Callum: *starts to wake up* what...what?

Ezran: wake up! Rayla's missing.
