Screams rang out from the [L/N] home as the father beat his wife. The children were heard crying as they watched helpless and afraid.

"Stop....please!" [M/N] cried as she was struck again with the drunken man's belt. "Shut up woman!!" He yelled at her. The woman screamed once the leather strap connected with her delicate skin.

Her children huddled together in the corner of the room scared to move in fear that they would become targets. The eldest, a daughter, stood protectively in front of them.

"Dad, stop this!" She screamed out. "You're scaring Rui and Eri." The man growled as he threw a empty bottle of beer at his child. Thankfully the girl caught it before it could hit her.

The father [L/N] grumbled before he stumbled up the stairs to bed. [M/N] sighed softly as she turned her attention to her babies. "[Y/N], I don't like when you put yourself in danger like that." She said to her eldest. "You have no idea what that man can do."

[Y/N] sighed as she nodded. "I know Mama but I was just trying to help." She said as she hugged her two younger siblings who had curled their arms around her. Their mother smiled weakly. She had to protect her babies from that drunk they called dad.

"Eri, Rui, go pack some clothes for me okay?" [M/N] asked her two youngest. The two of them nodded before running upstairs. [Y/N] looked at her mother confused.

"[Y/N]. I'm about to do something stupid so I want you to run away from here. Take the kids and get as far away from here as possible alright?" [M/N] said as she stared at the staircase leading to the room her husband was in. The girl nodded softly as she went to pack her bags as well.

Once the three [L/N]s were ready they stood in the living room with their mother. "My babies." [M/N] said as she saw them. All three had backpacks and duffel bags full of clothes. "I'm sorry I can't be with y'all anymore, but this is not the life I promise you when you were born." The three have a sad smile as [M/N] knelt down in front of the youngest, Baby Eri.

"Eri, my little princess. I want you to grow up big and strong. Show the boys that they underestimate the girls. And one day I hope you find someone who will treat you like a queen." She said as Eri hugged her. Rui was next.

"Rui, my prince. I want you to protect your sisters for me. Never become like your father. When you find the one, treat her with respect and never take her for granted." The boy nodded at his mother's words as he grabbed Eri's hand.

"And to my little tough girl. Show the world who you truly are. Never let them dim that fire within you. Be stronger than I ever was and look after your brother and sister for me." The teen nodded softly as she smiled.

[M/N] smiled softly as she watched her three children. "[Y/N], Rui, and Eri." She spoke softly. "Wasn't it yesterday that you were a baby in my arms? I looked at your precious face and wondered where life would take you. Today, I look at the person you've become...strong, kind, thoughtful,
caring and optimistic... and I realize that the dreams I held in my heart for you are alive in your beautiful spirit. I am so proud of you, and I love you with all my heart." The three smiled at their mom. "We love you too Mama." They said in sync.

After that the three ran out of the house. About 5 minutes later, a gun shot rang out followed by a second. Rui whimpered as he had always feared loud noises. "I know Rui. It's okay." [Y/N] said as she pulled her siblings to her sides.
