Luck shivered as he sat curled up on his bed. He and Magna has gotten into another fight which wasn't too uncommon. The only difference this time was that Luck had gotten hurt.

It wasn't anything major. Just a burn on his left shoulder that was similar to a sunburn. The boy sighed shakily as he reached his hand up to the exposed skin. His shirt and cloak are were with Vanessa waiting to be patched.

"Luck. Come on buddy, I was just messing around with ya." Magna said from the other side of the door. "Go away!" Luck yelled as he choked back a sob. He wasn't mad at flame user. It's just that what he had said had remained Luck of his mother.

"Just get over here you twerp." Magna yelled. "Make me." The lightning user giggled with his signature smile. "That's it. I'm gonna smack that stupid smile off your face." Magna growled as he shot a fireball at Luck.

The blonde was in daze from what Magna had just said that he couldn't move. The team yelled out, but it was too late. The ball nailed him in the shoulder burning his clothes and skin. The force behind it had knocked him over in process too.

"Magna, what the hell?!" Asta yelled as he sat down next to the lightning user. "I'll have to patch your clothes." Vanessa said as she sat next to the boy. "May I?" She asked softly as she held her hands out.

Luck nodded softly still in his daze. Vanessa sighed as she pulled the boy's shirt over his head. "Luck, I-" Magna tried to say but Luck cut him off. "Leave me alone." He yelled before running up to his room.

Magna sighed softly. "Luck." He said softly as he sat outside the blonde's door. "If something I did or said offended you, then please tell me. I won't do it again."

The door opened suddenly as Magna looked up. Luck stood there, still shirtless, with puffy red eyes. Tears still running down his face in slow rivers. He smiled weakly as he motioned Magna inside.

The flame user scrambled to his feet as he followed the boy back to the bed shutting the door behind him. "What happened?" He asked softly as the blonde wiped the tears away.

"It was what you said about my smile." Luck muttered. "Your smile?" Magna asked confused. Luck released a shaky breath. "You called it stupid. That's was what my mom used to say right before she hit me. 'I'm gonna smack that stupid smile off your face.'" He said.

Magna froze. In the heat of battle, he had said something that he never should have. "Oh Luck." The flame user sighed as he wrapped his arms around the boy. "I'm sorry. It was the heat of the moment." He said.

"It's okay." Luck muttered softly causing Magna to shake his head. "Luck, look at me." He said as he grabbed the lightning user's chin gently and tipped it up. "I love your smile. It's unique and special. Sometimes even a bit mischievous, but that's who you are. Your smile is a part of you, and no one can ever change that."

Magna said before capturing the blonde in a gentle kiss. Luck froze momentarily before he smiled against Magna and returned the kiss. "I love you Luck. Crazy smile and all." Magna breath softly as he pulled away.

"I love you too Magna, and thank you for everything." Luck said as he hugged him gently. Magna returned it while promising to always protect the lightning user and his unique smile.
