Why him?

There was this, feeling that came to me. I didn't understand why I was felt this way. Togami was..... dead. All signs lead to suicide attempt as in there was a bottle of pills next to him, but Monokuma wanted to hold a trial anyway. Is it my fault? Everyone else was shocked, but they didn't really seem to show any sadness. They're reason was 'He was always so cold towards us.' Could it be because of what happened last night between me and him?
~Flashback~
"So what did you do want to talk about?" I asked Togami. He didn't say anything, except just stare at me. "Is there something on—" before I could finish he pressed his lips up against mine. My face turned a bright red. I didn't know what to think. I didn't push him away, instead I kissed back. After what felt like eternity he stepped back. "Leave. Now!" he commanded, his voice breaking as he said that. I was so stuck in my thoughts I didn't know what to think. I just left as he said and walked back to my room. As I shut the door I couldn't help but smile. Did I like this boy? What is happening? Why did he kiss me? Why did I kiss back? These questions just kept flooding my mind until someone knocked on my door. It was Byakuya. He pushed himself past me, looking frantic. "I-i-," This was the first time I've ever seen him upset. He's always hiding his feelings with his harsh persona. Byakuya broke down and fell to the floor. I ran to comfort him and he grabbed me tight. I comforted him and said, "It's ok, I like you, too" to which he looked back up at me and said, "Makoto, I can't do this. I would be disowned by my own family." He stood up and I grabbed his wrist. He looked back with tears in his eyes. With that, he left, leaving me in my silence.
~End of Flashback~
It's all coming back. I started crying and ran back to my dorm. No one could see me like this. The class trial began a couple hours later.
