Chapter 44: Slight Connection

•Phineas' POV•

Why can't I just move on from Lily... I known her for 8 years and Izzy for 11 years, yet during those 11 years, all I think about was her... All the inventions me and Ferb build... my inspiration was all on her...

Suddenly, I heard someone else crying. "H-Huh?" I thought as I wipe my tears and swing from the other side to see Melody crying from the corner. "M-Melody?" I called  before she slowly look to see me in front of her.

"What are you doing h-here..." she ask, almost as cold as ice while she give me a frown. "Don't you wanna be with Izzy?" She added as she wipe her tears.

"Me? With Izzy?..." I ask, slight confused. "Why can't you just treat everyone equally?" She snap before I look to her confused. "What are you talking about?" I ask again.

"Don't play with me Phineas... You gave almost everyone a nickname... Everyone except me..."

"I said I'm working on it... I just can't find a good nickname for you..."

"How about 'Lily'? When will you start calling me 'Lily' like you always do back in my first day?!..." she said as she stood up.

"I don't understand... Why are you so upset with me?... or almost jealous..."

"Because I felt left out! Yesterday was nothing to you, wasn't it?!"

"I really don't understand you... What first day? I called you Lily before? And yesterday was great so why are you so upset?" I said, still bewildered.

"Aaaaggghhh!!!" She scream in rage before a lightning struck outside.

"Melody?..."

"Why can't you just remember me?!? I became your friend last month!!!" She yelled as her hands both turned to fist. I'm starting to freak out when I saw that glare from her face.

I gather all my courage and slowly slide my hand to hers. "Look Melody, whatever I did to make you upset, I'm sorry... If I did something that cause you to act like this, I'm sorry I left you out... but I also have friends who need my help... I can't always give you more time than them... Like you said, I need to treat my friends equeally..."

She took a deep breath before she start crying again and hold my hand tighter. "I'm sorry... I j-just overreact... I just felt... l-left out..." she said before I pull her in a hug.

"Left out? After we finish, I called your name for the first try and Ferb will let you borrow his parachute so you can enjoy with us, but you waren't there..."

"What about the nickname?... Will you ever give me one?..."

"The 'Lily' nickname was only for my passed away best friend... You two might have the same, but I just can't find you one... Your name was too beautiful to be replace..." I explain.

"I'm sorry I made you feel alone and pathetic..." I added before she form a small smile. "S-Sorry... I just got used to you asking me for help, I thought you forgot about me..."

"Forgot you? So why am I still wearing this?" I ask as I show her the seashell bracelet she gave me. She gasp before her eyes sparkle.

"I always keep the bracelet you gave me wherever I go... and I think it works pretty well..." I added.

"Also, maybe I could still help on your song..." I remind before she smile warmly and hugged back. At that sign, the storm went away. That's when I realize... She control the weather by emotion...

"Come on! You forgot that this tree house has an elevator with a trampoline..." I said before I pull her to the elevator.
