-NYX PUSHES her trolley down the walk of Playform Nine and Three-Quarters, she would now be entering her sixth year at Hogwarts. She walks onto the train in her black turtle neck that was tucked into her short, plaid skirt. The stomp of her black platform boots drew the attention of the other students she passed by, as it usually did.

Nyx:

I couldn't help but be excited to reunite with Draco Malfoy. I wanted to ask him what was wrong, if he had gotten my letters, where had he been all summer? He was still my best friend.

I assumed he would want some space due to his father now residing in Azkaban, but i thought he would have at least let me come over to check up on him like I usually would.

"Draco!" I exclaim, seeing the blonde boy for the first time in months. He raises his eyebrows in response with a sharp "Dawning." He looked rather pale, more than usual at least. His grey eyes were dull and his shoulders were slumped forward, like something was weighing him down.

"Missed me that much, did you?" I say sarcastically, while I sit next to him, "where have you been Malfoy?" Draco never answers, only looks out the window next to him.

"Pansy, Blaise, how was your holiday?" I ask the pair sitting in front of me.

I get a spitting response from Blaise and an eye roll  and scoff from Pansy.

The train ride was horrid, if i had any other friends I would have switched seats, but Draco, Pansy and Blaise seemed to be the only people who weren't using me. Draco had told us to go on without him, with my eyes I pleaded for him to come with us but he blandly ignored my signal.

I sigh in defeat and walk off the train with Pansy and Blaise, shooting glances behind me, making sure my best friend isn't causing trouble.

No doubt he is.

Maybe staying to wait for him won't hurt tho. I stepped into a nearby compartment and stuck my head out to see what Draco was up to.

What the bloody hell-

He was standing over what looked like another person, I could barley tell from the angle. I saw him lift up his foot before stamping it down on the face of the person underneath him. My eyes widened in shock, I didn't think my Draco had the guts to do something like that. Something had definitely changed.

"That's for my father." he spat down. "Now let's see," I heard him continue, "I don't reckon anyone will find you till the trains back in London, I'll see you around Potter... or not."

Potter? Oh God.

He starting walking toward me and I stepped back trying to hide myself. "What the hell are you doing here Dawning? Not hear me tell you to go on?" he spat.

"What the hell me? What the hell you!" I reply frantically, "You trying to kill the chosen one!?" I say a bit quieter.

"The chosen one," Draco mocks me in a girly voice and then he grabs my pale wrist with his cold hands and brings me to walk behind him towards the trains exit.

"Jesus Draco, why in hell would you do that?!" I say while I yank my wrist from his tight hold.

"He was spying," he turns back to look at me. "I taught him a lesson." he shrugs.

"Taught him a lesson? I reckon he's gonna need a new nose Draco! The question is what did you do to make him spy in the first place?"

"Oh so your siding with Potter now?" he replies with a smug look on his pale face. "Of course not, your my best friend, I'm trying to look out for you!"

"I don't need you help." he turns quickly and strides towards the exit once more.

I look towards Draco who was sitting across from me in the dining hall. He wore a sad look on his face and looked ill. I could barley pay attention to what Dumbledore has to say at the moment.

As sorting passed by and Dumbledore has introduce our new professor Draco kept the melancholy look on his pale face. He was acting as if I were his enemy, he'd never been this cold to me before.

I had gotten up to go to my first class until i was stopped by a shy, tender voice.

"Miss Dawning, you look so lovely today." I turn around to come face to face with the blonde haired ravenclaw, Luna Lovegood. I always had a hard time making friends, but she was sweet to me.

"Luna, you can call me Nyx. And you look lovely as well." After i has said that we began to walk together.

"So what's your first class, Nyx?"

"I have potions with Gryffindor." I rolled my eyes instinctively, I had nothing against Gryffindor students, but they always had a problem with me. I'd do as little as look in their direction and they'd bicker about how mean I look.

"Well I hope your day brings great treasures and fortune." She smiles as she skipps away. My eyebrows furrow at the unusual remark but I wish her a small 'you too, Luna.' as I watch her blonde hair bounce away.
