Be In My Dust!

(Y/N)'s POV

It's the day of the Sports Festival. And my classmates and I are now in our class waiting room. While my classmates were chatting loudly, I, meanwhile, had myself leaning against the wall with my hands crossed. A small frown also present on my face. But that didn't stop the others being loud.
Especially the girls.

"Awww! I'm so nervous!"

"Me too! But I'm excited too!"

"I wonder what they'll have us do?"

I wanted to join them and strategize this event. I want to. But, my eyes landed on Momo, who was giving me quite the glare that the others were oblivious of. I darted my eyes to the ground.

'Yaomomo, why do you hate me? Until you stole the only close friend that I have?'

"Hey (Y/N). Why are you so distant?"

I looked up, and Ochako had her face scrunched up in worry. Tsu too. She had her head tilted in confusion.

"Why don't you come and sit here with us?" She patted the empty chair next to her. I thought about it, and I declined. Simply.

"Nah, it's fine."

"Aww, come on! Why not?" Mina pouted.

"Yeah. I know deep in your eyes, you just wanna talk strategy. We'd love to hear it. Come on." Kyoka smiled solemnly, jerking her head to the empty seat.

'I do too. But.. '

"I suddenly love standing, thanks guys. Besides-" I checked my sky blue ice watch. "I'm confident that the Sports Festival will be starting any minute now."

As if I know that it is true, I counted down with my fingers out. "In three, two, one."

And right on cue, Iida came bursting in. "Everyone! Get your game faces on! We're entering the arena soon!"

'Oh wow. I was right! Heh.'

"Oww." I silently groaned in discomfort. I clenched my jaw and massage it slowly. It seems that everytime I tried to smile, my jaw felt weird.

'Maybe because of yesterday...No suprises there. Heh.'

"Midoriya."

That voice. That was the last thing I needed now. And..yeah. It's Shoto Doki Roki. With that damn scowly face similar to yesterday.

"From an objective standpoint, it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you." He 'bragged'.

As I saw Midoriya just accepting it and nod, I felt a tick appeared on my forehead.

'You think you feel superior, huh? Why can't snobbish people just leave that poor thing alone? After all, that kid has many weight on his shoulder already.'

"However, you've got All Might in your corner helping you out.

"I'm not gonna pry on what's going on between you two..But know that I'll beat you. All of you here."

I'm pretty sure everyone had their jaws dropped in shock. Who do you think you are, Todoroki?

"And (L/N)." I quietly gasped as I heard my surname. And of
course, he called me.

"Same goes for you. I'll take you down. I'll not go easy on you just because you're a female."

I felt the tension in the room rising up right. And the eyes on the two of us are were full of confused and intent looks.
