"The top 42 participants will move on. But don't be discourage if you didn't make the cut. We've got other opportunities for you to shine!" Midnight licked her lips.
She added on, "Now the main selection really begins!! The press corp's going to be jumping out of their seats, so give it all you got!! Now onto the second event!! Dying in suspense?! The next event will be...THIS!!!"
The gigantic scoreboard revealed the words "CAVALRY BATTLE". This made everyone gasped.
"Calvary battle? I'm terrible at those!" Kaminari groaned.
"So we'll be teaming up. But, how?" Tsuyu asked.
"Participants will, on their own, form teams of two to four members each and get into a horse-and-rider formation!" Midnight answered. "The rules are fundamentally the same as those of an ordinary calvary battle : snag your opponents' headbands while guarding your own. But, with one exxeption...
"Each of you has been assigned a point value based one your ranking in the previous event!"
"We'll earn points like in the entrance exam? Looks simple." Sato nodded in acknowledgement.
"So the point value of each team depends on its members, then." Ochako said certainly.
"Uh-huh!" Mina agreed with her.
Midnight, who felt triggered, hollered, "MAYBE YOU SHOULD SHUT UP AND LET ME EXPLAIN THINGS TO YOU!!!" Everyone flinched at the loudness of her voice.
Midnight continued, "Anyways, yes!! And your individual point values start at five, from the bottom! For example, the 42nd person is worth 5 points! The 41st is worth 10 points! And it'll go so on until the first place person! Anyways, our first place contestant is worth...TEN MILLION!!!"
(Y/N) gasped and covered her ajar mouth. And she slowly turned her head towards Midoriya, who is right beside her. His expression was beyond shock. It was terror.
'T-Ten million..?'
"IT'S A SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST : A CHANCE FOR THOSE WHO ARE AT THE BOTTOM TO COME OUT ON TOP!!!"
Just by hearing that, hearts were lit on extreme fire, growing the owners' spirit. And they gave Midoriya a red, dead glare, scaring the crap out of him.
"But WAIT!! There's more you need to know!" That made the students withdrew their glares and repay attention to Midnight.
"Okay!! The battle will last 15 minutes! Each team's points are determined by its members. The rider will be wearing a headband bearing their teams total points. Until the match is over, swipe as many headbands as possible and try to maintain the ones you have.
