Werewolves and Cheer

Wylda POV

"Are you ready", I asked Addi as we walked to cheer practice. "I'm so fired up", she replied excitedly. "When you become cheer captain, what does that make me?", I asked her. "That would make you co-cheer captain ", she said proudly. "Really? Thank you so much Addi, your the best!", I said giving her a tight hug.

As we entered the gym, I ran to my spot next to Bree. I looked up and saw the werewolves. When did they get here? I didn't even get that strange feeling. Addison blows the whistle and everyone lines up.

"I'm so fired up to be running cheer practice! Together we can do anything!", Addi yells cheerfully. But everyone looks behind Addi. Addison turns to the bleachers to see the werewolves.

"Sorry, but this practice space is for cheerleaders only", Addison said to the wolves. "Ha! Just try and get us to leave", Wynter said as she stood up. "Wynter, some respect", Wyatt told her. "No we don't want you to leave", I spoke up. "We want you to stay. Show us what you can do", I said smirking at Wyatt. "The cheer team is for everyone", I said.

Wyatt smiled at my comment. He and the werewolves joined us for practice. Just as I knew he would, Wyatt took a place beside me.

Zed POV

Bonzo, Eliza and I walked into the gym to see the cheerleaders cheering with the werewolves. They were enjoying themselves but I felt worried when I saw Wylda cheering with the male wolf.

"That scruffy, super handsome, fine-smelling Wyatt is into Wylda a lot", Eliza said to me. "They're just cheering. And laughing," I said looking at them. "But I'm sure she's just convincing the wolves to vote for me. I'm not threatened", I said staring at them.

Wylda POV

I was really impressed by how well the wolves incorporated into the cheer routine. "That was so amazing. You all are natural cheerleaders", I told them. "We wolves work well together", Wyatt said to me. "But I'm not a wolf", I told him. "Hmm", he said as he smirked at me.

I smiled at him. Then I see Wynter coughing. "Wynter?",me and Wyatt said. Suddenly, I couldn't breathe and I started coughing while falling to the floor. "WYLDA!" I heard Wyatt say as he helped me up. "Are you ok?", he asked me as I started breathing normally again. "I'm ok", I responded.

"Well done Addison", Bucky said as he came over clapping. "With werewolves on cheer, this election is so in the bag", he said. "Bucky, this isn't about politics! I always felt like cheer could unite", I yelled at him. He looked at me scared, but ignored me.

"You are going to make a great cheer captain, Addison", Bucky said to her. "I'm going to be cheer captain" Addi yelled. We all cheered for her. "It's a shame you didn't want to be cheer captain, Wylda, Bucky said to me as he walked away. I put my head down sadly.

"You are a leader, Wylda", Wyatt said as he held my hand. I looked into his eyes. "But of something a lot greater than cheer", he told me. What did he mean. He smiled comfortingly at me. I spot Zed near the door. "Zed!", I call out to him,  but he just leaves.

3rd Person POV

"Zed. What's wrong", Wylda asks him. "Werewolves. They're not interested in fitting in", he said frustrated. "They're into cheer", Wylda tells him. "No, they're into you,  and your into him... them", Zed says in return.

"What? Why are you acting like this?", Wylda asks him upset. "Do you know how hard it was for zombie? Now everything is just being handed to the werewolves on a silver platter", Zed responds. "Actually they hate silver", Wylda corrects.

"I'm trying to win an election foe my people, for you, Addison and me. So we can go to Prawn, so we can be accepted", Zed explains to her. "That's not being accepted", Wylda says pointing to a poster of Zed. "That's being afraid to show who you really are", she told him angrily.

"Says the girl who wore a wig her whole life", Zed spat at her. Wylda looks at him hurt. "Yeah. I did.And so did Addison", she told him. "Because we always felt like an outsider. And even though I might be on the cheer team, I still do", Wylda told him.

"You know I don't have a place here! Don't have a zombie crew. I don't know what I am", she yelled at him. "So excuse me for respecting a pack of werewolves who are proud of who they are", Wylda cried out. Wylda walked away as Zed tried to apologize.
