Monsters", I said finishing her sentence. I saw posters of myself looking scary. "Bucky made me look...
Scary", Eliza said.

I was pacing back and forth asking myself questions. Then Eliza ran up to me.
Eliza: "You got your speech?".
I pulled my speech out my jacket along with Wylda's necklace.
Eliza: "Wylda's necklace?".
"I took it. I can't let her become a werewolf. I have to protect her. All of this, running for president, is all for her and Addison".
Eliza: "No, Zed. This is bigger than that, okay? This is for you, for me, for all zombies everywhere. This is more important than anything else. Look, we'll deal with this later, okay? Just become president. That's what zombies need".
"Your first nominee for...", Principal Lee said but she was cut off by the Aceys.
Aceys: Running for president, wearing the sequined Mighty Shrimp uniform... Three time MVP, lean, mean, cheering machine... And captain of our hearts... BUCKY!!!".
All the cheerleaders cheered as Bucky came on stage.
Eliza: "Introducing our soon-to-be first green-haired president and ripping a proud people, Zed!".
All the zombies cheered as I came on stage. I gave Bonzo a high five as I passed him.
Eliza: Hear us roar!!
"Um no, actually, we're not going to roar. No roaring".
Eliza: Zed'll fight for you!
"You know what, um, I'm not going to fight. 'Cause, no, this isn't a fight. This is a nice lil' cordial debate we're having here today.
I walked back to the podium, ready as ever.
"Are you ready to battle?", Principal Lee yelled to the crowd.
I clearly won the rap battle and the election.
"Zed for Prez! Vote for me, because I swear I'm no monster".
I reached in my jacket for my speech. But then the necklace got caught on my Z-band making it malfunction. And having me zombie out in front of everyone.
Eliza: "Wylda's necklace is shutting down your Z-band".
"Can't let them see me as monster! ".
Eliza: "Breathe. Focus, okay? You can control this.You don't have to hide, Zed".
Eliza: "Zed the necklace! Remove it!"
I removed the necklace from my Z-band. And I returned back to normal. I looked around and saw everyone cowering in fear. I sighed and ran into the hallway.
Eliza: "Zed, wait".
"I lost the election".
Eliza: "Maybe... Probably... Yeah, you did. Look, but the problem is you lost yourself first".
She points at a campaign poster of me before walking away. I look at Wylda's necklace in my hand. I have to tell her the truth.
