It took a moment for me to see that Titus was also there, he was holding up Dante.
I swallowed thickly, I couldn't look away from the large blood stain from Dante's shirt.
" Are you just going to stand there?" Dante snapped.
I blinked quickly, realizing that Titus probably brought him here for me to fix him.
" Harley grab the first aid kit, Titus lay him down on the floor."
As soon as Dante was on his back, I turn to Titus.
" What happened?"
" A bullet grazed him, the guards figured out that I was at Astor and Dante jumped in the way."
My hands were shaking and I fought the urge to dry heave. I wasn't good with a lot of blood, cuts and scrapes I could do. I had been desensitized to them over the years especially with the antics the Krill siblings got into but this. This was different.
" I have it." Harley rushed in.
Titus jumped to his feet, " Hey love, remember last time you said you would show me your book collection?"
He gently ushered her out of the room.
" Well?" Dante was practically growling.
I tore open his shirt and the wound looked worse than I expected. There was so much dried blood, it didn't look like it grazed him. I hoped he didn't need stitches because I didn't know how to do stitches.
" This is going to hurt, a lot." I said, I reached into the bag and pulled out a clean rag.
I placed the rag between his teeth and poured the alcohol across his torso.
He hissed and his body moved violently, I grabbed his hands before he could touch his wound.
He cursed a lot, mainly at me.
When Dante relaxed, I pulled out another rag and began cleaning the injury. He winched when I got to the middle of the wound and for a second I felt bad.
I applied the last of the salve and pressed a cotton against his torso before helping him up into sitting position. Then I wrapped his torso.
Titus came back after I helped Dante to the couch.
Dante had a hand across his side and looked deathly pale. He needed water and food, he probably had loss a lot of blood coming here.
Titus bent down to help me clean up the floor.
" I know you don't like seeing a lot of blood but thank you." His tone was oddly soft and I can't help but assume it was because of Dante.
We worked in silence and when we finished He offered to throw everything away. I washed my hands and grabbed a glass of water and some fruits as well as some painkillers."
Dante finished off the glass in record time and began attacking the plate of fruits.
" Thank you." He mustered out.
" You're welcome."
" Do you have anywhere to stay tonight?" I crossed my arms.
He laughed, it sounded breathy and weak,
" I'll be fine. You don't have to be nice to me love. I know you don't like me."
His smile grew when he saw I couldn't say anything. It wasn't that I hate Dante, but it was harder to like him than it was to like Titus.
Titus returner back and immediately went to Dante's side.
