" You're bleeding." I pointed out rather stupidly.
" I'm aware." He replied. Titus walked back to the hay and produced a scarf, he ripped a piece off with his mouth and wrapped his wound.
He noticed me staring, " Don't tell me you're already falling for me. I haven't even done anything yet."
" I wasn't staring for that reason, you're wrapping your cut too loosely." Without permission, I reached forward and began to unravel his mistakes.
For a sweetliar, his hands were unnaturally very soft. Wrapping wounds was almost second nature to me, with a house full of teenagers, I probably had patched up every single one of the Krill sibling at least fifty times.
Jack. I paused. I had been so caught up in what had happened, I didn't think about them. Jack had probably returned home and noticed me missing.
" You're hurt." He said, his free hand reached forward to touched my bruised hand and I jerked away at his touch.
" I'm aware." I threw his words back at him, his lips twitch into a smile and I glance down at his hand to stop myself from smiling along.
When I finished, Titus thanked me and he went into the cell to wait.
There were no footsteps, no one had been in close proximity to hear us. Which meant no one guarded this cell, which gives us a higher chance of escaping.
It was growing very dark now. The darkness hurt my eyes as I tried to find my way back into the cell.
I sat down, my back pressed against the cool wall, exhausted. I wondered how Jack was doing and I hoped he wasn't panicking too much. I hoped that Gila and Lin were getting along, and I hoped Harley didn't get too lost in a book that she forgot to eat.
With that, I allowed sleep to come.
I was being shaken, half asleep, I batted at Jack's hands.
" It's literally dawn Jack." I turned over and pulled my blankets tighter around me but I was left grasping air.
I sat up immediately, a jacket had been thrown over me and I watched as Titus picked it up.
" It's literally dawn Jack." He mimicked, as he put one hand through the sleeve.
I flush and ran my hand through my knotted hair, " You didn't hear anything."
He laughed, it was a melodic sound. As expected from a sweetliar.
Then I heard it, two sets of footsteps and they were close. I turned to warn Titus but he looked like he already knew.
He pulled me to my feet quickly, grabbing my good hand, he pulled to the wall.
" When the door opens, let the guards walk in. When you hear me talk, run to the other side and lock the door and don't open it until you hear me say to open it okay?"
I nodded and Titus ran back into the cell and threw himself onto the bed.
The blood rushed to my ears and I couldn't hear anything over my beating heart.
The door swung open and it was coming fast. I was going to get hit and be found out. I shut my eyes and braced for impact. When I didn't feel anything, I peeked through an eye. The door had stopped inches away from my face.
I let out a breath that I had been holding and tried to calm my heart.
I tilted my head to get a better look, the same two guards had their backs faced towards me and were talking to Titus.
