The next morning, I was up the same time Jack was. He had to blink multiple times before he recognized me.

" I didn't think you ever be up this early. I need to commentate this moment."

" Ha ha ha." I smacked his head as I headed for the bathroom.

After a quick shower, I quietly slipped into Gilda and Harley's room. My hair still dripping as I opened Gilda's closet.

I had already gotten her permission last night to borrow a solid black dress under the condition that she could meet properly Titus after we retrieved the necklace.

But she didn't particularly defined properly meet.

The dress was made of a soft material, the sleeves ending at the elbows. Gilda was more developed in certain areas so I had to pin the neckline of the dress so it wasn't falling off me.

By the time I went to the kitchen, Jack had already left and Titus was nowhere to be found.

It was too early as I returned back to my bed. I'm sure a little nap wouldn't hurt. It really was Titus's fault, he said bright and early and he wasn't here.

My head hit the pillow and I was out.

There were voices. Three to be exact.

It took a minute before my vision cleared and I sat up quickly.

" Sleeping beauty is awake and before I could even give her a true love's kiss." Titus placed a hand on his chest, his other hand reaching for mine.

Titus was not dressed to be nondescript at all. A deep red button-up clung tightly to his skim, a few buttons left open, exposing his entire tattoo, clean trousers, and shiny new boot. A shiver chain hung off his body and a pair of dark sunglasses hung off his collar. His wound had been covered up and I suspected he had used some form of makeup to hide the closed wound.

Harley and Gilda giggled.

" How long have you guys been creepily staring at me?" I rubbed my eyes.

" Just a few minutes," Titus answered.

The girls giggled again.

" Wait, when did the auction start?" I said.

" Two hours ago."

I relaxed, it's okay. Most high dollar items we're usually sold at the end of the auction and usually for big buyers in a private room, at least that's what I remember.

Titus noticed my relaxed state and he narrowed eyes just for a second. My heart skipped a beat, I should be more careful around him.

But Harley pulled on his sleeve and he broke out into a bright smile.

" Yes, love?" He tilted his head down.

She flushed, " Are you hungry? We can make breakfast."

He smiled and for once, his smile seemed genuine. " I already ate, but thank you for asking."

Harley turned an even brighter shade of red and ducked her head. She muttered something about a book and quickly left the room.
