Accidentally a Princess

Chapter 5

Cassandra's POV

I opened the window and looked up to where the light came from

The moon never fails to amaze me, eh?

I smiled as I adored its beauty from afar. I closed my eyes and let the evening breeze kiss my skin. I yawned and stretched my arms in the air

It's bedtime now

I laid down on the bed with a smile on my face. I know this won't last for so long but it's great to cherish the happiness while it lasts. I closed my eyes and drifted to dreamland.

11 days had already passed and luckily, we haven't been found out yet by my father. While in school, Nathan and Kathleen stayed by my side to guard and cheer me up. Right now, we're in the middle of our PE class which tests our flexibility. 

Well, I'm not really concerned about that because all my life I have been flexible, you know from all the dodging. But what really bothered me is my vision, it keeps getting blurry and blurry that I had to blink multiple times before my sight recovers. I don't think I am in my best condition right now especially from the headache that I am feeling.

"Ms. Belle Amesthyst Irwins" I heard my teacher called out my name. I am holding a violet ribbon in my hand to perform rhythmic gymnastics, a form of flexibility. 

I started my performance and everything went well, suddenly when I am nearing the end of my act, I felt like I am really about to pass out anytime so I bowed earlier than expected. I heard teacher and classmates clapped their hands and cheered for me but after that, everything went black.

I slowly opened my eyes to see white ceiling and walls around me. I looked around and saw Kath and Nathan's eyes full of concern

"Belle! That goodness you're awake! What happened?"

"I don't know, Kath. I just don't feel right today. When I woke up, I felt like vomiting. The whole day, I feel like my head is spinning that is why during PE, I only had a quick performance because I feel like passing out-- wait! where am I?"

"Infirmary. I actually noticed you act weirdly the past few days. Is something wrong?" Nathan asked worriedly.

"I'm fine. Maybe I just haven't been used to be away from my house" I replied in a joking manner to lighten up the mood. They just gave me a light smile and hugged me

"Just tell us if something is bothering you mkay? We'll do our best to help you out" Kath reminded me and kissed my head

"Thank you. I love you both! Now, let's go to the cafeteria 'cause I'm getting hungry now" I said cheerily as I immediately got out of the bed. They both gave me a confused look

"But it's still an hour past lunch"

"So? can't a person be hungry now?" I asked while pouting

"My my! Seems like someone is turning into a piglet" Nathan teased while patting my head, ruining my hair. I removed his hand and acted like I was about to eat it. We got out of the infirmary while laughing.

When I arrived home, meaning Nathan's house, I immediately jumped on my bed and dozed off because I felt really sleepy. I woke up at around 11 pm and went downstairs. There I saw Nathan still watching a movie. I snuggled beside him and grabbed the bowl full of sweet corn that he was holding and ate it

"Woooow, good morning to you sleepy head" He said sarcastically as I leaned on his shoulder

"Good morning to you too, night owl" I stuck out my tongue that made both of us laugh. We talked as we continued watching the movie when I felt like going to pee again for the nth time! When I came back, Zach had his serious expression but he didn't seemed like focusing on the screen, he is more like having a deep thought.

"Penny for a thought?" He snapped back to reality when I sat down beside him. He flashed me a smile but I know something's up so I frowned. He looked like he was having second thoughts but I stared at him intently then he let out a sigh

"I don't know. I hope you don't really mind what I'm about to say but lately Belle, you've been acting really weird"

"How so?"

"First, this morning, your mom prepared a meal for us and knowing that you love milk, she prepared one for you but you rejected it. I think that's the first time it happened because even your mother and sister were shocked. Even if you are running late, you never skip your milk, even if we tease you 'cause you're like a baby, you never reject milk. Second, you've been eating all day in school. As far as I remember, you don't eat lots because you are body-conscious. Third, is when you collapsed. You fainted for 2 straight days already, Belle! That's not normal.  Fouth, you said that yesterday and this morning, you felt like vomiting. I don't think that's normal. Fifth, you are now fond of sleeping. Even in school, if you're not eating, you're sleeping. I don't know but you never sleep in class, Belle. You know how important your grades are to you. " I was taken aback by what he said. I swallowed hard and stared at him nervously

"Am I pregnant?"
