Accidentally a Princess

Chapter 10

Belle's POV

I saw surprised to see hundreds of delicious foods set on the table. I raised my eyebrow at Aeneas but he just gave me an innocent smile.

"Well I assumed that you might get hungry along the trip so I ordered to prepare everything on the menu since I'm still unsure of your preference."

My eyes widened when I realized the different cusines from all over the globe: French, Japanese, Italian, Korean-- name it, they've got everything on this wide table. He pulled out a chair for me to sit on as sat across me.

 My eyes twinkled at the sight without realizing the happiness shown all over my face. I noticed Aeneas chuckling but I paid it no mind as I reached to take a sip of my favorite soup.

"Do you like Sinigang?"

"Dude, I LOVE it!" 

I exclaimed trying to stop from scrunching up my face from the sour taste

"Great! I guess we quite have a similar taste"

"The cook in our house is from the Philippines so she introduced the dishes from her country and sinigang is one of my favorite!" I also placed several dishes on my plate while enjoying our little chitchat for a while.

"I was surprised when you agreed to my mother's suggestion." I nodded a couple of times as he continued "How did your family and lover reacted to it?" I took a sip from my drink before answering him

"Lover? I don't have one---"

"What?" he asked again

"I.don't.have.a.boyfriend" I repetead while emphasizing each word

"Isn't the guy who is always by your side-- the one with emerald eyes and chestnut hair-- your lover?" I looked at him with confusion and realized who he is talking about

"Oh! you must mean Nathan. He's" I hesitated for a bit before whispering "not my boyfriend" I blinked a couple of times before raising my head again "He's my best friend since childhood"

He stared at me with a playful smile but his eyes are deadly

"Hmm- is that so?" I nodded and changed the subject

"Well, my mom just let me make decisions on my own and she assured me to support it as long as I'll be happy. My sister, Emerald was strongly against it because we haven't savored the time of freedom for a long time yet" I rolled my eyes upon remembering the cause of it "You know what I mean--- the case of my father. We've been struggling with it since the day we were born and we almost lost hope in believing we'll get out of the cursed situation"

His face suddenly got serious

"Haven't you tired escaping?"

I can't help but scoff at his question while releasing a bitter smile

"My father is one of the most powerful people in our country because of our well-known company. Everything is within his grasp especially when people can be easily manipulated by money. So wherever we go to runaway locally or internationally, he would find still find us and drag us back to hell and having him imprisoned will just end up with bribery so there's really no way out of this until a miracle happened and you know what happened next"

He flashed a smile at me

"Oh you must probably think I'm an angel from heaven huh? Are you falling in love with me now?" I almost choked at the food I was eating and sent him a glare. Where did his sudden confidence came from?! He chuckled at my reaction and continued speaking
