Accidentally a Princess

Chapter 9

Belle's POV

I counted all the bags I packed since last night when suddenly I heard a soft knock on my door. 

Emerald walked in with a sad smile on her lips. She walked towards my bed and sat while roaming her eyes on my half-empty room.

"You're leaving some of your stuffs?" I nodded and sat beside her

"Hey it's not like I'm never coming back! You aren't kicking me out of the house, are you?" we both chuckled at my remark. She leaned her head on my shoulder as she snuggled in my arms with a comfortable silence filling the room.

"I'm gonna miss you, Belle" she muttered in a very soft voice 

"I'm gonna miss you too, Em. Please take care of yourself and mom for me 'mkay?" I kissed the top of her head when suddenly there was a knock on the door. It opened to reveal Nathan and mom while Kath rushed to my direction for a hug

"Belleeee! I can't believe you're leaving already! Everything you've told me last week hasn't sinked in to me yet! Dummy! Why are you leaving meee" Kath cried while I chuckled at her reaction

"Girl I'm not leaving anyone. You can visit me at my new place or vice versa" I reassured her and gave her a smile, wiping her tears away

"Are these all you need to bring?" I turned my attention to Nathan who is carrying my luggage downstairs

"Yeah! Thanks, mate!" I walked to towards my mom who was still standing by the doorstep with teary eyes

"Oh no not you, mom" I pulled her for a hug. She tightened her grip, preventing her tears from falling.

"I'm gonna miss my princess"

"Oh don't worry, you still have Emerald as your princess" We both chuckled at my sarcastic remark when a honk was heard outside the house. Everyone went out to welcome the visitors.

It's time huh?

"Let's go, princess?" Nathan extended his hand with a playful smirk on his face. I chuckled as I placed my hand on his. I roamed my eyes around my half-empty room for the last time before closing the door. Nathan pulled me for a tight hug, that's when the tears I've been holding for so long escaped my eyes.

"Please take care of them for me, Nate. I'm sorry for putting a burden on you but you're the only one I could entrust them to." he kissed the top of my head and wiped the tears of my cheeks

"I will, only if you promise me that you'll also take care in there. Don't forget to send me letters okay? I'll be waiting for them." He gave me a smile which never fails to make my heart flutter

"Same. Take care of yourself as well 'mkay? Don't catch a cold"

"What are you? my mother?" He sarcastically said

"Stupid!" We both laughed as we made our way to the living room where everyone is gathered. There, 2 royal guards together with Aeneas are standing by the doorstep, waiting for me. I greeted them with a smile.

"Are you ready?" Aeneas offered his arm for me to wrap my hand around.  I faced my loved ones again and hugged them before I bid farewell.

 He escorted me towards the shiny black limousine prepared outside of my house where I blinked a couple of times out of disbelief. Aeneas chuckled at my reaction and opened the door for me. I looked back for the last time, giving a sad smile to the building which I've never considered home for 20 years not until recently. I shook my head and thought 'That is now my home'  I smiled at the thought before I got in. 

During the 20-minutes ride, silence filled the car with just me and Aeneas. He offers me desserts from the table every now and then while I gratefully accept them but no one dared to start a conversation because my mind is still in disbelief about the decision I made a week ago and now I'm travelling to another country and will soon be a princess. I sighed at the though when suddenly the car suddenly stopped so I pulled the window open to peek, only to see that we've arrived at the airport.
