Eight Seconds to Love

Chapter 2

Amelia's POV:

Hailey texted Lindsay that she was on her way to come to get us. What Ashley didn't know was that Lindsay had arranged a  meeting for her to meet Jess. While I was just going down to support her and to make sure she didn't make a complete fool of herself. Once we got down there I instantly felt all the eyes on me so I decided to hide my face I brought to read during the changing of riders. We finally stopped near the guy's locker room to wait for Jess to come out since his final ride was done. That's when I saw him, Jake Lockwood, he's Jess little brother and kinda cute but I'm strictly focusing on school but a few glances should lead to much trouble. But little did I know was those glances would lead to a whirled wind of both heartbreak and heartbeats that would lead me to the love of my life and help me find the true me.

Jake's POV:

When she glanced over towards me, I finally got to see the gorgeous ocean blue eyes that held so much pain and fear in them. That surprised me the most because who in their right mind would want to bring any pain or harm towards her.  Look here I'm already falling for her and I don't even know her name maybe I could ask Lindsay or Hailey for it. I never thought that anyone would make me understand how Jess feels every time he looks at Hailey but she does.

Lindsay's POV:

I looked over at Amelia to check she was still doing okay with all these males around and that she wasn't having a panic attack. But to my surprise, she was stealing glances at Jess's younger brother Jake, and he was doing the same back to her you could see the eagerness mix with the hopefulness that he would have the courage to talk to her. What he didn't know is if he ever asked her out he would be shoot down faster then a bullet because what that jerk of an ex did to her but just maybe he could help completely heal her heart.
