"Time surely flies by"
...
Things have been weird lately. Presley has been offline on Instagram for the weekend. Josie has been acting secretive around me for like a week. Zion has already made a couple new friends with whom he spends almost 90% of his time. Simon has limited his gossip with us since he got scolded by his parents for taking chocolate milk to school without their permission. Not to forget, Abby lost her SIM card which just made her drown into her own depression.
Am I the only one who feels normal right now? Or is it just me who's starting to feel this way?
...
"Nora!" Josie whispered as she gently pulled my arm.
I followed her to where she was taking me, though I had no idea what was going on.
"Whe--"
"Shh!" Josie hushed, turning her head backwards.
I continued to follow her without a word.
Josie stopped in front of the girls' washroom.
"Why exactly are we here?" I asked with confusion.
Josie exhaled heavily as she motioned her hands downwards, closing her eyes for a few seconds.
My head was filled with various assumptions regarding why she brought me here and what she was about to tell me. Couldn't help myself from waiting for her to finally spill the tea.
"Alright so, I have something very important to tell you. Do not freak out, okay?" Josie pursed her lips to hide the shy smile of hers.
"Okay? Could you finally speak it out?" I frowned, crossing my arms.
"I-- Uh. I actually found someone," Josie licked her dry lips.
"Someone as in?" I asked as millions of thoughts swirled around my head.
"Someone as in... there's this senior I noticed a month back. I saw him today on my way to school," Josie left her sentence unclear.
"So, you mean, you like him?" I asked, wiggling my brows at her as a sort of excitement filled inside.
"No no no. Not like that. You know, he's kinda good-look--"
"I'm gonna let others know that you've found your man," I started to walk towards our classroom.
"What? No, Nora! Listen!" Josie grabbed my arms and brought me back to the previous spot.
Josie rolled her tongue side wards.
"He disappears all of a sudden so I can't tell others like this. You have to help me find him, right now," Josie said.
"Okay but where do we find him?"
"I don't know. I think I saw him in the cafeteria right after the bell rang. So I don't know if he's still there," Josie explained.
"What now?" I asked for an alternate decision.
"From tomorrow onwards, our mission is to find this mystery prince. Got it?" Josie stated.
"Mystery prince, uh huh?" I smirked at the nickname Josie already gave to this random guy she saw out of the blue.
Josie bit her upper lip as she rolled her eyes.
"What does he look like?" I asked as the questioned popped up in my brain.
"Oh. Well, he kinda has loose side bangs, a sharp nose and a sharp face structure. Uh, he has a medium height and his skin colour is almost like mine," Josie described.
"Well well, I think I can already imagine a few guys from our school," I rubbed my chin as I thought of a particular guy as per my knowledge whom I've seen around.
Josie let out a laugh.
"I have no idea whom you're thinking of!" Josie exclaimed.
"Haha, we'll see tomorrow."
Josie and I headed back to our classroom when it was almost the end of our lunch break.
