HAN MINJUN'S VIEW

"Where the fu—"

"No cursing." My mother hissed at me as she continued to drive me to the campsite. Apparently, she signed me up for this stupid summer camp that would supposedly 'help' me make friends.

Obviously, I wasn't really up for it but we were new to this town, she said maybe I could find a friend or two. Arriving at the site, honestly, all I could see was a bunch of boys.

Seeing the bulky backpacks they carried and at least a small hand carry, they were definitely attending this camp. Scanning the entrance, a big banner tied to each post that created the arch—welcoming all of the Batch 21 campers of Summer 127.

"Do something with your clothes, Minjun. Sheesh-" mom scolded lightly as she ruffled my dyed blue hair.

"They're perfectly fine, mom," I mumbled and opened the door once she finally parked the car. Grabbing my bag from the backseat, I gave her one last look which showed off how completely against I was with being registered without my consent.

She giggled, "You'll do well! They said it was the best summer camp, maybe you could even get yourself a boyfriend!"

I huffed, my cheeks puffed out as I closed the door, "How about a no."

My shoulders were slumped forward, carrying the bag on both as I trudged towards the arch, scanning my surroundings as I did. Isn't it lovely to be stuck in a damn forest for a whole month? Not for me.

As someone who prefers to stay indoors, this wasn't what I intended to spend my summer. I actually thought about lying on my bed for like hours– waking up late after spending my leisure time doing absolutely nothing. I will probably scroll through my phone until I fall asleep again.

Grunting, feeling the heavyweight grow worse the longer I stood still. Something wasn't right about this, I could already feel that trouble was coming.

There were a few busses, dropping off at least a dozen boys.

Yes. Boys.

Swallowing the thick lump that formed in the back of my throat, my fingers curled into fists as I began to eye each and one of them.

There weren't any girls at all.

Anxiety rose in me, my head snapping back only to find my mom's car gone. "What- was she not informed or something..."

Taking little steps, passing the tall arch, a boy fell in front of me. His white shirt now dirtied from the soiled ground as he groaned, "Aw shit! My favorite white shirt!" he cursed, dusting his now stained shirt as he stood up.

"I told you not to push me, Donghyuck-ah!" he sighed before locking eyes at me.

Face all scrunched up, he eyed me from head to toe before grinning, "Hi! I'm Mark!" he waved his hand vigorously.

"Uhh..."

"Mark– oh..." another boy approached us, standing beside the boy named Mark with his eyes narrowed onto me. His hair was brown, with the tips dyed purple. "Who's he?"

He?!

I couldn't help but stifle a laugh, trying my best to suppress it as his words kept repeating in my head.

"Um... I actually don't know–" Mark said sheepishly before extending a hand out, "As I said earlier, my name is Mark, and my friend here is Donghyuck."

"My name is Minjun," I informed them, my lips pressed together as I tousled my hair. Still, my bag felt heavy as I did pack, hopefully, enough clothes.

"Aye! Minjun! Do you know which cabin are you in?" he asks me, before noticing my bag, "Oh wait... you still have your bag. I think Johnny-hyung is still by the luggage drop off, let's go!" Mark got a hold of my wrist, dragging me with him with Donghyuck tailing us.

"Wait! Who's Johnny?!" my eyebrows were furrowed, I looked back at Donghyuck who sniggered, "He's the camp counselor."

My mouth formed an 'o' shape as I bobbed my head. Arriving at the luggage drop off, a damn tree– I mean tall male stood there. He was wearing a dark green polo shirt, tucked into some black 3/4th pants. He had a red cap, his brown bangs peeking out. A clipboard in his grasp as he kept flipping through it, announcing a few names then the cabin number.

"Cabin 07! Again we have Lee Donghyuck, Na Jaemin, Mark Lee, Park Jisung, Lee Jeno, Han Minjun."

Mark jumped, "So you were the last person in our cabin."

Our camp counselor or they called him as Johnny, cleared his throat before looking up from the clipboard, "Cabin 08! Again we have Wong Kunhang, Wong Yukhei, Xiao Dejun, Liu Yangyang, Zhong Chenle, and lastly, Huang Renjun."

I scrunched my nose, eyes squinted as I heard their names. Donghyuck patted my shoulder, "They're Chinese, pretty chaotic honestly, I've met most of them."

"We'll take you to our cabin, we're gonna be best of friends by the end of this summer camp!" Mark exclaimed, his hands flailed up in the air.

I hummed, nodding my head before my shoulder was harshly pushed to the side, making me bump into Donghyuck.

"Woah-" Donghyuck's breath hitched, stepping back at the sudden contact.

"Watch it." I looked back to see a boy with faded blue hair, eyes piercing cold as he had his bag slung onto his shoulder.

Mark sighed, seeing the figure walk away, "That was Jaemin. We met him a while ago... pretty introverted and a bit rude if I must say."

"Jaemin?" I raised a brow, "Isn't he like in our cabin?"

Donghyuck scoffed, "That's the point– we have to deal with him for like a whole month."

Mark smacked the latter's shoulder, making the poor boy yelp and pout, "He could be the sweetest person ever!"

"Says you!"

I shook my head, eyeing the faded blue-haired boy, "Let's just go?"

Walking down the gravel pathway, boys rounding around to greet each other as if they've known each other for years.

Boisterous laughter, lots of screaming and yelling—this is certainly going to be a pain in the ass.
