Not Good Enough?

Maybe he's just overreacting and everything's fine. He tried to reassure himself everything was fine but was it? To put this situation shortly Gray fullbuster was a having an existential crisis.

You see Gray and Juvia's relationship had only recently started well about 6 months ago if you'd call that recent and before he was obviously never really good at expressing his undying love for her.

But after Sting had made a joke about they're relationship gray began to feel insecure. Maybe he wasn't good enough. Juvia does deserve better, she could have better. Gray made her wait for so long. Maybe she'll get sick of him and leave. Now that, that thought made Gray feel sick.

What if he really wasn't good enough for her. He's done bad things he made mistakes and even though Juvia is extremely powerful what if something happens and she needs help and he's not around or he's not powerful enough to help her and she gets hurt or worse she dies.

The thought of Juvia dying brought back bad memories for gray. It made him think of when they were forced to fight each other and even though they had both sacrificed themselves in the end she saved him he couldn't do anything about it. He thought she was dead and it hurt so much.

Gray groaned as he covered his face with his palms. He rolled over to the other side of his bed and clung to his pillow

'I miss juvia so much right now' he thought to himself
Gray himself wouldn't like to admit it but he was actually quite clingy. As he layed face down in the pillow Gray finally got up from his bed and decided to head towards the guild.

Gray walked into the guild eyes immediately landing on juvia. She was laughing while talking to levy and Gajeel. They were together and levy was pregnant so Juvia loved spending her days hanging with levy and coming up with baby names because she was the closest thing Gajeel had to a sister so she wanted to be there to support them

Gray smiled and as if on cue Juvia looked up and immediately smiled towards his direction. She quickly turned and said something to levy and Gajeel to which they both nodded. She stood up from her seat and made her way towards gray -who was still standing at the entrance of the guild-

"Gray-sama you've finally arrived to the guild" She smiled at him her bright beautiful smile almost blinding him.

"Yeah sorry i was uh kinda just laying in bed for awhile" he nervously rubbed the back of his neck

"Its fine Juvia's just happy you're here now" and then Juvia went in for a kiss which of course gray responded to it was quick but still filled with so much love.

"Oh and um gray-sama Juvia was wondering if it was okay if she spent the night your house" she was blushing while looking up at him nervously

"Uh i mean-" before he could even finish his sentence Juvia quickly interrupted him

"You don't have to say yes it's just Juvia thought it'd be nice since you were gone for a job for like three days but its really your choice"

'Since when did she get so shy' gray thought. He outwardly chuckled causing Juvia it look up at him " Yah i'd really like it if you stayed over actually i missed you a lot" now he was blushing
Why'd he say that

Juvia smiled "okay good Juvia's happy she missed you too"

As if his thoughts earlier weren't bad enough right now with Juvia actually in his house it wasn't helping if anything it made him feel guilty like he was committing some sort of crime. She was just so perfect and she loved him just like that.

"Gray-sama come cuddle with juvia" she said as she laid in his bed. Gray smiled 'she's so amazing'

Juvia snuggled closer to gray's chest as he got in bed next to her. Even though they had been dating for half a year this still felt new to them but either way it was still comforting to be with each other.

Gray hesitated to hold Juvia because of his guilty conscience what if he's just gonna hurt her in the end.

Juvia obviously noticed this hesitation and looked at him, her eyebrows furrowing. "What's wrong Gray-sama" she asked in a quiet tone.

He looked down at her "juvia" he said she looked up at him and nodded

"Do you think I'm good enough for you. I know its like a weird a question its just I- I don't know I just feel like you could do better. I'm an ass I took forever to confess my feelings and-"

"Stop! Stop talking Juvia knows that you are good enough for her and she knows that you're not perfect but neither is she-"

"You are" gray added in

"Shut up let juvia finish. Juvia is in love with you okay juvia wants you so please don't say stuff like that because it hurts her"

Gray sighed "okay" he said. Juvia smiled up at him and then laid her head on his chest. Gray finally let his hand rest on her back.

" Good now stop asking stupid questions and lets go to bed"

" I love you" he whispered as his eyes fluttered shut

" I love you too"
