"Cragger ignored the side comments. "Do you remember what I said to you after you chewed me out for saving your life?"
"You told me to take you with me the next time," Laval sighed. "Cragger, what's your point?"
Cragger's grin turned sympathetic. "Do you have to be underwater to drown?"
"Cragger!" Eris began, but stopped.
Laval kept his gaze on Cragger, but his expression betrayed hollowness or something like that of an innocence shattered. The wind blew the fire out of him. He trembled, trying to keep what he had left of his normal self together. The thunderbolt struck.
"Come here, pal." Cragger stepped forward and pulled Laval in for a hug. The young Lion buried his face into his friend's shoulder and sobbed, his own shoulders heaving.
"I know, buddy. Get it all out," Cragger consoled. "Come on, buddy. I can take it. Get it all off your chest. Let's go.""
