Forbidden Love

Chapter 6

My mother quickly stood from her throne and stepped down to stand in front of Kevin.

"If you succeed in not betraying me, you will be rewarded after." With that my mother walked away surrounded by vampire soldiers. I was quickly escorted out right behind her but I made sure to look at him as I passed communicating with my eyes that we will meet later, before I could exit I heard Kevin's voice speaking to the other warlock.

"No harm shall come to her, protect the princess." I couldn't help but smile in knowing that he would do everything in his power to protect me. I was escorted down a few flights of stairs that opened up to a large weapons armor storage room, even I as a princess was expected to fight. I was walked towards an armor room towards the back beside my mother wear we would be dressed in black metal technical armor. It was like wearing medevil armor but in a more modern way that would hug the body, allow for movement and cover all vital parts of the body. I armored up and collected our weapons. Our weapons ranged from steel swords to the most modern in technology laser guns, this time we geared up with laser guns, they would blow a baseball size hole into your enemies, no one could survive that kind of wound. We all made our way into the throne room, the room was now full with every vampire and warlock standing together as one. Both the warlock and vampire tactical leaders stood above near the throne. They broke down the plan and it was simple protect our leaders, kill the hunters and take back the sword.

A group of warlocks and vampires took off towards the main doors to find the hunters that had tripped our alarms outside. We knew they were on our land, we needed to stop them before they broke in. Another group of vampires headed to the security room that was filled with monitors that were connected to our cameras that covered  the whole property. The rest of the warlocks and vampires including myself, my mother and Kevin. Stood next to every window and door on every floor of the vampire clan mansion. The Iron Chains were going to have a difficult time coming in without being spotted or tripping up more alarms outside. I walked into my bedroom and closed the door behind me, I locked away any important information on my desk that the hunters could use against us in case they managed to break in. I opened up a dark fire proof safe that was underneath my desk and tossed inside files of paperwork, my laptop and several security USB's. I closed the doors and turned the dial, locking the contents inside. I stood up and was about to leave my room when the door swung open, I lifted my laser gun fangs in display ready to kill.

"Woah it's just me baby." Kevin entered my room and I put down my laser gun.

"Don't sneak up on me like that, I could have killed you. " He took three large steps towards me and placed his large hands upon my shoulders.

"No matter what I will protect you," he suddenly moved away and reopened the door," Let's go." We moved out of my room and started to walk in the hallway, watching the doors and windows. It was so silent which was making me uneasy, gun fire erupted from the left side outside, we moved towards the window to see a large group of maybe 50 hunters opening fire as they moved towards the house. We had snipers on the roof with long range laser guns and they began to pick off the hunters, green orbs landed in the mass of hunters then would burst into a poisonous gas coming from the warlocks. Suddenly more gun fire erupted but this time from the opposite side, we ran across to the other side to see another group of about 50 hunters. Vampires and warlocks together were battling it out on the lawn, but hunters were getting through. I could hear more gun fire coming from the bottom windows, suddenly standing there in the middle was The Iron Chains leader holding the sword, with a single swing vampires and warlocks were turning to dust. I pushed the button on my ear piece alerting the tactual leaders.

"The sword is here, get my mother to the protective bunker now." I waited for a reply and heard a response.

"Yes Princess Angelique, we are moving her now." I let go of my ear piece and punched out the glass with the bottom of my laser gun and took aim for The Iron Chains leader, I let out a fray of laser blast right in his direction,  he quickly ducked and took off for a sprint towards the house and out of sight.

"Fuck, we need to get downstairs." We started moving towards, when gun fire erupted downstairs now directly in the house. We ran downstairs, and ran right into a war zone.
